i am in the middle of setting up my blog site and i am trying to upload a plr sales page to my cpanel with hostgator and i dont know i bouth this program and it says upload all files to root directory does it mean the web root directory or the one that says ftp root . also it says upload all the files of the sales page does it mean images and other things as well or just the sales page file idk help im stuck

    Yes you upload the images as well, otherwise you'll have a sales page full of broken images.

      Typically you will want to put everything under the public_html folder

      So if you have a folder of images - put that folder inside of the public_html folder. Also, all of the website files go inside that public_html

      When all is said and done, if you open the public_html you should have bunch of files, your images folder etc.

    Yes upload the zip file, then right click on it in file manager and select "Extract".

      NO... NO... NO...

      you most likely will have to make some modifications to the sales page. Like the order buttons, download destination, etc...

    hang on, are these images for his page or just a downloadable package, if for his page they shouldn't be in a zip folder, they should be in a file called images

    Beg pardon, I missed the bit where u said extract, I always find it a lot easier to upload everything straight from my computer

      In post 4 he said the plr package is in a zip file.

      In fact it's easier to upload a zip file via cpanel's file manager and extract it on server.

    Kim, it's not a female thing: decent webmasters use FTP and don't upload anything via cPanel

    You never know what is in a zip file... and I like to know what I am uploading. Plus, as Mike said above - with sales pages you always have to add your PP button, or your name, or your photo etc.

    But people like to give out "simple" advice... but without thinking about the consequences.
