Decent traffic...now what?

I think you may have provided social networking integration.... thats why you are getting so many visitors, aren't you?

First of all congrats on your initial success with the blog & if you want to turn that traffic into money then my advice for your niche would be to run CPA offers on your blog along with Adsense and you will get good income for the traffic you are claiming.

And newbie warriors, you can turn your passion into a full time income just by blogging on a regular basis, no secrets no magic bullets needed here.

Congrats on your traffic success. What is your main way you use to generate it, does most of it come through social media?

Straight from my analytics

• Search Engines 15,131.00 (35.68%)
• Referring Sites 12,373.00 (29.18%)
• Direct Traffic 7,771.00 (18.33%)
• Other 7,128 (16.81%)

I have it set up where my blog posts are sent to my twitter feed periodically. I have also participated in blog roll's with other blogs (not sure how much traffic comes from that). So I guess for the most part my traffic does come from social. My Facebook is pitiful...I have like 200 fans. However I have 6k on twitter. I just started out saying funny and blunt things on twitter and my following just started growing. So I figured I would just build a blog and give them somewhere to go and read my opinion and take on multiple subjects.

Congratulations.. Yes you should definitely insert adsense into your blog to maximize your earning.. And probably add some cpa ad banners as well..

Can't give specific advice without knowing your URL.

1. People interested in entertainment and gossip buy fashion related products. So find products similar to what the celebrities wear. And link to them via your affiliate link. This requires research. But if done well, will allow you to make more than ads.

2. Start with Google Adsense. But move on to private ad sales. See what your RPM from adsense is. Then multiple it by 2 or 3. And approach other websites with an offer to buy ads at that price directly from you. This is a research and numbers game. Research to find out who advertise on websites that are similar to yours. Approach these people and expect anywhere from 10-50% response rate.

3. You are getting decent traffic from search engines. Dig deep into the analytics to figure out what people are searching to find you. Is the traffic only going to 4-5 pages on your website? Or is it a little bit of traffic to a lot of pages? Then create a strategy to do similar keyword research. And write content based on that.

Using a backlink service is also a good idea. But not if thats the only link building you'll be focusing on.

4. Because you've already done well with twitter, focus on doing even better with it. Create 4-5 different twitter accounts. And make them work for you.

Then focus on facebook etc. First always double up on things that have worked for you - instead of focusing on things that other people are raving about - but you've not had much success with.

You're getting decent traffic. You could sell banner ad space.

A friend installed a doubleclick ad at the top..but I'm not sure he knew what he was doing..so I'm going to pull it down. The other "ad" is my barber who is giving me free haircuts for the exposure.

well, you try for such a traffic to your site, but do well by posting your url and lets have a look at it.

Use Google Adsense to start with, see how much you earn with it, it could be a real gem. With the amount of traffic you're getting, I'd say it could become very profitable.

megawarrior has said sell ad space, this is also an awesome idea, as it can create monthly income for you. If you sell ad space, you can charge clients a monthly fee to advertise their business on your site. This alone could be a massive income opportunity.

Maybe try and build a list from your visitors, offer them a free eBook, and then email them products they may be interested in. There are many aspects of list building, this is very vague.

I would go with Google adsense, and try to sell some ad space for a monthly fee.

I would definitely hit it with some adsense and cpa offers and you may even be able to do some affiliate marketing (clickbank and amazon) if some of the products are relevant.
