I hate Internet Explorer! How do I substitue Mozilla Firefox more?

INTERNET MARKETING

Firefox is my main browser but many times when I ask for something off the website it uses Internet Explorer to find it for me. Is there a way to have Firefox do it instead?

  I have both browsers, and I too prefer FF, and have set it as my default browser and don't have this issue.
  
  I think it's just a matter of correcting your settings, that should solve the issue hopefully!.

First of all, make sure you have IE7 installed on your computer. If you still have IE6 you're asking for trouble even if you don't directly use it that much. If you have the IE7Pro plugin installed that will make using IE7 when you have to for some websites much more comfortable to you. I have to use IE exclusively for our corporate website (don't ask) and that plugin really helps.

Other than that, just make Firefox your default browser like the others mentioned. You can't get rid of IE entirely without partially crippling your system because it's so grafted into Windows.

  Thanks to everyone that replied to my plea. This is the reason why the Warrior is the best, I got more replies in less than an hour than I got on a couple of other forums in 24 hours.
  I didn't have FF as my default browser and I fixed that. I also added that addon that Sam suggested. I'll see if this makes it work better.
  I have IE 8, would that be part of my problem or do you think the FF fix will cure my problem?

You can force FF to run in default. Just go to Start >> Run >> and enter this: "firefox.exe -silent -setDefaultBrowser" without the quotes. Hope this helps.
