can anyone answer ? re delay in propogation of new site ?

I have just moved some domaine names to a new server in USA
They say its 3-4 hours before this becomes visble on line BUT here I am 24 hours later and sill not visible.
I suspect that this means that it has something to do with our ISP who is Wesnet and that they only update urls every 24 hours or so

I this correct ? If not what is the answer ?

And if this is correct does this mean that updates to the website will also take a long time to show ?

All my sites are currently on Australian servers so this is my first time on overseas server.

    Yes well we have never seem it take more than afew hours on Australian Servers so there must be some issue with the ISPs not updating across the International Link

      Hi

      Have you cleared your cache?

      I moved a site to a new server a couple of weeks ago. It actually propogated really quickly, but someone told me that it still wasn't available to him 24 hours after it seemed to be available to everyone else. I got him to check on a different PC in his office and he said "oh yes, I can see it on this machine"

      I then suggested that he clear the cache on the original PC he'd been trying on ... and hey presto, there it was afterall.

      Just any idea. It may or may not be relevant in your case, but worth a try.
