Pages or Posts... Does it make a difference?

On my website, projectorreviews2012[dot]net .
I have created pages instead of posts, I was worried at first to think that it might affect my seo rating. I only use pages at the moment so I can get a drop down menu on my home page for easy navigation for visitors.

So will it effect my seo rating if I have no posts?

It shouldn't. "Posts" and "pages" are just nomenclature used by WP; technically, they're all just web pages. The difference comes into play when you want to take advantage of WP's organizational features, which don't apply equally to posts and pages.

Of course, the fact that you don't have much content (as reflected by the fact that it can all fit in pages on your main navigation menu) could still affect your SEO to some extent, but that's a different question.

That is true. It does not really matter whether you post content on pages or on posts.
