Hey guys,

I was just curious, what do you find are the best ways to promote affiliate products? I am a newly registered ClickBank user, and was just wondering what strategies have given people success in affiliate marketing.

    This is the step by step process to earning a good income from affiliate marketing. The basic thing first is to build a list (there's a free report on listbuilding in my signature), you're going to concentrate on the following.
    1. Choose a good product to promote
    Do not make the common mistake of selling the popular products everyone else is selling. Do a simple research first to know if the product is in demand in the market. Also, make sure that the product you'll choose is of good quality.
    2. Do some pre-selling
    Most affiliates conduct pre-selling to qualify the leads they will be referring to the merchant's page. This will increase conversion rates because only interested individuals will see the sales page. One thing you can do here is to buy the product you are promoting, and write an honest review about it.
    3. Be capable enough of driving traffic to the merchant's sales page
    In doing this, you should decide first how you will attract traffic towards your affiliate website. You can go for paid advertising or you can spend time creating authority sites that are content rich and with affiliate advertising placed within them. It is good if you can use both strategies.
    The nature of the traffic you drive to your affiliate site also matters. You should be able to send highly-targeted traffic, or else, your conversion rates will not be sufficient to cover the cost of advertising.
    The best form of traffic is the traffic that will come from the list you build up over time.

    There are a lot of methods for promoting ClickBank products. You choose one method then mastering it.

    - SEO
    - PPC
    - forum marketing
    - social media
    - etc

    Don't forget to build your own list. This is important for your own business in long term.

    Keep it simple.

    Choose 1 niche (better if you can narrow down
    to a sub-niche)

    Build a list that is interested in that particular
    sub-niche.

    Choose quality products from CB that are
    in that sub-niche.

    Make sure the sales page converts.

    A decent gravity may help if you're not
    sure how well the product could sell.

    There are various strategies you can try
    but really, keeping it simple and focusing
    on just one (like the list building one)

    Find a group of people who have a desperate problem that needs solving.

    Find a solution to that problem and put it in front of them.

    Hire an expert in your niche to write some product reviews and articles that compare different products. Do some SEO and get your niche website to google No.1. Then continue to build more niche websites. It's that simple!

    Like others say here - build a list, follow up and presell with educational materials, then send them to the merchant's site. Do not make the mistake of sending traffic directly to the merchant. Always have your own review site or landing page to capture emails for follow up actions.

    Building your list should be your number 1 priority and there are many ways you can do that.
