Do You Think I'm Pretty??? You can be honest

Ok so when someone of the opposite sex asks their significant other (or anyone) if they find them attractive it can be a risky response. I mean if its a coyote ugly situation lying may not look so bad...Anything to get out of that situation. And fellas we know that a impulsive knee jerk response could get us in a LOT of trouble. So what's my point you may ask, well strap in cuz here it comes. I admit I'm new, and that being said I'm hoping I can find one (or more ) honest people to honestly answer the following question. Where oh where does one begin to start trying to figure out this IM thing. I mean I get the whole 'easiest way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time' but my elephant is moving, he's quick and nimble like a cheetah, and no one has told him that he's about to be dinner!!!! So where do I start? Please an honest answer. I'm trying to create my 'plan' and I need guidance. I'm not looking for a 'buy' this ebook or 'get' this course so someone can score an affiliate dollar. Look I'm not saying that I don't think education doesn't come with a price. I just want the recommendations to be real. And allow me to say in advance that I sincerely appreciate the comments that I hope are coming!!

    Hi Danny,

    Welcome to the WF.

Charles "The Beautiful" White is correct. There is also an archive of older WF posts around here somewhere. Start reading, reading, reading. Then read some more and ask questions.

The other day I had a question about scripts and a fellow warrior went out of his way to get the answer to me. People do that here. I really appreciate it.

      Hi Danny,

If I were you I would first practise what your site is preaching,
Our company is helping to make Residual Millionaires nationwide RIGHT NOW! Let me show you how easy it is to do!
Not trying to be hard in regard to your question but, The site in your Sig
doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling about you knowing you're telling
people to let you show them how easy it is to do.

Now to answer your question I would recommend that you design a plan
based on a proven business model. Which Model depends on your wants
and needs. What I'm trying to say is that you don't want to be in a
business you don't like right? Therefore you need to look at your self first
      and determine your attributes.

Once you know your strengths you will better be able to determine the
path you should take to accomplish your goals.

      Hope that Helps.
      Have a Great Night!

        Gotta agree with Mike.

Anyway, since it's apparent that you're real good with words, my suggestion to
you would be to start with this:

Bum Marketing Method - Free Traffic Tips

That's also assuming that you do not wish to spend any money to get
        started.

Nevertheless, bum marketing is a good place to start for anybody because
there are alot of solid marketing principles that will apply in many, many other
        projects.

I am not adverse to spending money, I am just trying to make sure what I spend it on, especially if its educational, has a value to it...I've gained access to a number of e-resources that aren't worth the PDF that they are written on. But I will most definitely check out the BUM Marketing Method...Thanks!!

    Hi

My advice, for what it is worth, is take some time to read the forum.
Do it slowly and carefully, don't be in a hurry.

There are so many ways to earn money online that you can get over
loaded with information. Read what other people are doing and
then decide what area interests you the most. For example you may
find that affiliate marketing is what interests you the most.

So then spend some more time learning about it. You can probably
find all the information you will need to get started right here. But don't
neglect to purchase information if you think it will help you on the
path you have chosen. Just don't fall into the trap of buying everything.
    You will just get overwhelmed.

Once you have some knowledge of what you should do, make a plan
of what you are going to do. Then work your plan. Don't be impatient
because the money doesn't come overnight. You really have to work
at it. Slow and steady wins the race.

    Good Luck
    Lynette

I think the place to start would be to sit down with pen and paper and write a list of the things you like doing. You are clearly imaginative and you can string sentences together well. Do you enjoy writing?

What do you know - not about IM; about anything? Someone, and maybe a lot of someones, is looking for the information you already know.

When you know what turns your crank, then and only then look for the information or help you need to achieve your first goal. Be very organized. The mistake I made in the beginning - hell, I still make it! - was accumulating too much information "in case it came in handy some time."

As a result I became totally confused and paralyzed. It was only when I shut off the info flood (well, almost!) that I began to see what I needed to do first ... and then the next small step ... and then the next.

From what I hear, most people go through something like this. It ain't pretty - not like you!

So I would suggest before you ask others for answers you search for the initial answers within yourself. We are not in your skin or your mind, so we can't tell you what to do until you can tell US what you WANT to do.

    Does that make sense?

This is a huge and exciting field. Have fun playing in it. Just watch the elephant doesn't trample you!

I'm a total newbie. And I have no clue what kind of a beast is IM and how to eat it (even though you know it's an elephant )

But.. What I personally did, is bought one WSO. And just started to take action. I thought: "Ok, here's something that seems worth my attention, people say it's cool, it's newbie friendly, and everybody rate it 5 stars, so, what the hell, I'm going to try this one out even though it might not work out the way I want", and that's it.

And it doesn't really seem like a rocket science when you have the manual .. I've bought the "Newbie Frendly" one, and it's quite simple .. it's put in "do this and do that" manner. Most of things I'm doing now I don't really understand, I even feel myself like a bit of a robot .. but who cares .. people claim that it's going to work, and the understanding will come in the process of simple action (just like in any martial art), maybe that's why people here call themselves Warriors .. just a guess.
To be honest I even started to have new ideas popping up in my head of how I can improve things I'm doing and such .. pretty interesting, but I'm sure it only comes in the PROCESS OF ACTION .

Anyway, as I said, I've bought a WSO, and I just keep doing it, sometimes I ask questions and keep posting my progress.. people help here A LOT .. and that is what actually amazes me! It's just golden!

    Anyway .. welcome!

    Respect.

    Michael Mayo-

I don't think you are being hard at all in regard to the site in my sig. In that venture I have a successful support team that I can turn to that can truly help. They are successful, many making 8-10K monthly, and they've been doing it for less than a year. I'm not there yet but working on it. That site is not related to IM, and that's an area where I have little expertise. I am trying to bridge the gap between IM and Direct Sales. Trying to fill a niche that I see. So while I can mentor an individual in conventional sales, on the internet for now I am a bit like a fish out of water.

The capture page is designed to help build my 'list'. The vendor that designed it set it up that way. He then takes the leads and pours them into an autoresponder, and you know the rest. Hope that answers your question

    Hi, welcome to the forum.

I find a great way to get the best of WF in a short time is to sort the threads by rating. Generally the threads with 5 stars all contain excellent information.

Then again I have also found some real gems in threads with only 1 or 2 replies.

I have to agree with Lynette Crase, attempting to successfully surf your way round the 'novice waves' amounts to one thing always - information overload! Having an elephant with an insatiable appetite can be helpful or a hidrance in it's prevention of taking one bite at a time and then analaysing what you ate and how to apply it's contents. Forums are definitely a great place to hang out where the elephant can ponder over the menu at it's leisure and make educated choices of it's daily orders. You said it quite emphatically yourself - one step at a time - beyond that, there really is no holy grail of approach other than your comfort zones of what you can digest.

Just know that you are steering that heed perfectly!

Stop looking for a quick fix and put the donkey work in.

It's not easy. But over time you will learn there are things to help speed up certain things.

Work, work, work and then when you wake up work again.

I'm not trying to sound ungrateful. I appreciate everyone's help. I am not sure why some assume that I am looking for a quick fix. I am not expecting to spend 20 min on the computer and have checks pile up in my mailbox. To be more clear I just don't want to waste my time on misleading info from alleged experts interested not in helping and mentoring but rather in taking advantage of naive beginners. I've had people tell me to buy buy buy only to realize that their true intention was not my well being but the commission from their affiliate link.

Chances are you won't succeed in IM, most people don't. So find a way to stand out from the crowd, create your own twists and spins, and then you will position yourself to have a fighting chance.

I've been on this forum for a little bit and there are many how to's and what not. Take the time to do your research. Take the first step and grow. One thing will lead to another and lead to another. From my martial arts background I follow three simple rules LEARN, APPLY, PERFECT. ask the right questions, apply the answers, perfect the answer and move on to another question. Don't take any one person's word. Go to other forums, look for books, but have those questions in mind because that will formulate your plan. Good Luck Friend
