Multiple domains on single platform

I have a client who currently has 3 websites across .com, .com.au and .co.uk domains. They want to put all 3 domain names on one system which would manage all of the content. The system needs to be .NET based.

I've looked and looked but could not find a decent system that would fit this scenario.

Have you guys come across something like this? What would you use?

So the data will be the same across all 3 domains? Or do they want one system to serve up different data based on what domain a person is on?

The content will mainly be the same, however for .co.uk and .com websites there would be different products and pricing structure. Also the news will be different.

So far I have come across multi-tenancy feature which covers the same template and layout structure across multiple domains. There does not seem to be a standard solution for content management like the one my client needs.

Yeah dont know of a standard .net cms system out there that does this. However I have built one in php to handle over 100 domains under one cms, but again its written in php and its custom to my client.

DotNetNuke is probably your best be outside of a custom solution.

Is there a standard functionality around this?

DotNetNuke is something I've looked at, but I could not see this functionality in it.

If the template is really the only thing that is going to be similar, then wouldn't it just make more sense to install the templates separately into the cms? If you are just talking about putting a template in, then I wouldn't see it as that big of a deal and probably less involved then creating a custom solution. Maybe I am not really understanding what you are looking to do.

I am sure these sites are not Word Press but if they were they actually have a plug in that can syndicate content or through the use of tags or cats and send a different version to different sites

HP uses Tridion and that seems to be really expensive. Anyway it seems that there isn't a simple solution to this although the concept doesn't seem that complicated
