Hi,

I started amazon a few weeks ago but havent been successful yet. Still have kits to learn. I have an affiliate blog for a specific niche (eco friendly dog products), maybe that is not specific enough but its my first. I want to know if it is better to have a blog or a website for amazon affiliate products. I want to start making good success. Just want to know what you do for amazon affiliate products...blog or website????????

It kinda depends on what you mean. I mean, a lot of us will use wordpress (blog platform) and turn that blog in to what most people recognize as a website. Based on how you worded the question, i would say website. Having a website that contains pages based around relevant keywords that have been properly researched (competition, unique visits, etc) and optomized can be a great way to make money from amazon.

Is this some kind of trick question?

A blog is a web site.

I think blog and forum are better, if you do not have a website of your own.

Honestly, there are much better affiliate sites to use. Amazon offers good products, but their commissions are fairly low. You should try clickbank or affiliatebot.

I kind of understand the OP's question. I build a mixture of wordpress and Xsitepro amazon sites. You my be surprised to hear that the "old fashioned" looking Xsitepro sites convert better when it comes to lower end products like pet care items. Hi-tech and $500 products do better with a professional looking wordpress site.

    Best regards

I think the OP is asking about WordPress vs. HTML...

I have found that in terms of site setup & SEO that WordPress is much better!

Use wordpress. It's very simple to setup and use, and also has LOADS of plugins to help you with all sorts of tasks - but probably one of the most important and useful plugins is one that helps with SEO.

Write reviews of Amazon products which offer real value to your readers. No spun or low quality crap. Break your website into categories based on price or brand and add content every week or two.

    Good luck to you
