Looking for some help...

I'm mostly a lurker on here, but I'm in a pickle and was looking for some good advice. You see, I'm 26 years-old and have been learning the ropes of Internet marketing. I just got my very first site up yesterday, although it isn't indexed by Google yet.

Anyway, I got laid off from my job a while ago and applied for a deferment on my student loan while I look for a job and try to get the hang of this marketing thing. Apparently it didn't go through or something, as I just recieved a notice that my loan is in default and I still owe $3,000.

Here's where my problem is. I have to come up with this money quickly, and I don't have anyone I can borrow it from. I sold some stuff on eBay, but that's only gotten me around $100. No one's looking for help in my area, and I've posted a few gigs to Fiverr, Goferr, and Micro Gig Site, but no one has ordered anything. I can write articles, design logos, and translate Japanese-English or English-Japanese (I'm a native English speaker).

In a move of desperation, I was wondering if it would be wise to upgrade my membership and post something in the WSO section. I have amassed quite a large number of PLR articles, and I can sell some of my own articles I've been writing for my own personal use. I was considering offering to sell the lot, plus my own articles as a bonus, for $5. Good idea, bad idea? Anyone have any ideas?

You can't sell PLR that you've amassed as a WSO so that won't do it. You could sell your own articles as a pack, but I guarantee you won't make enough to make much of a dent in that loan.

Call the lender or whoever is handling the loan and talk to them about a forbearance or deferment. They are ridiculously easy to get so you should not have a problem, particularly being out of work. The one that didn't go through may have been done improperly or the paperwork lost in the mail - who knows?

Thanks! It's been a trying week, and I'm sorry if I seem a bit short fused.

Completely understandable. You didn't seem short-fused at all, just a bit desperate. Just call them, you'll feel a lot better getting that handled.

Making money online usually takes time, so I agree that you should try to work out a solution with your lender.
