I definitely don't think ebay is what it was but yes, there seem to be people thriving that way.

It is still a great way to make money. However, as with anything, there is a lot more competition and finding a cheap product that no one is selling has become harder. If you find the right product, it is definitely worth your time!

If you can find a product that sells that you can source at a good price then you're in business, that simple.

By all means avoid the electronic niche, it is simply too competitive and the profit margin is very low. On top of that, electronic items are losing value and dropping in price as new models are released.

        Hope this helps!

I know a guy who makes an absolute fortune, he buys electronics when they are on sale, any 2 for 1 offers etc and then sells them on eBay.

He pulled in over 150k last year.

Sounds like a report about that, with videos, would make a good WSO! You ought to ask him about it.

Haha as soon as you pressed submit on this, about 50 "warriors" opened up their word processor and started typing this WSO, I would bet there will be at least 1 million of them before the weekend is out

Yes, it's a great way. You have to make sure you follow every of their policies or you'll get your a/c restricted. It can be frustrating sometimes when you know you have followed everything, and yet get restricted.

If you don't mind the work, you can still make money with little investment.

You can start by selling all your unwanted valuables. Sell other people's stuff for a commission, buy stuff at garage sales to sell at auction. There is lots of ways to start but there's time and work to put in.

I still sell on ebay in my spare time and make a few bucks every month.

Absolutely. I used to be a powerseller and top rated seller before i launched my own website. The fees have increased, but recognize that most of your profits will come from backend sales... and some of these people will come back to you on their own without you even marketing to them.

Just remember that ebay is a marketplace where people are looking to BUY something. So yeah, ebay is still a great way to sell products on. Just make sure your do your market niche homework before you start selling anything.

There is a saying that one man's junk is another man's treasure! That treasure can be found on eBay.

eBay is a proven e-commerce site on the Internet.

Selling on eBay is a great way to start your new business if you're willing to put in the energy and time to be successful.

One of the reasons that eBay is an excellent place to sell your items is because of the large number of people who visit eBay on a daily basis.

With such a large volume of customers you are sure to sell any item and be profitable as long as you have done your research carefully.

EBay is certainly a good way to make money. The site itself is still as popular as ever and I've come across a few people who earn a decent income with it.

I make a full-time living on ebay for 6 years now.

It is becoming more and more difficult because of constantly changing policies and fees going up all the time.

I registered on this forum, hoping to change the way of making an income from the internet.

I've made hundreds of thousands on eBay importing my own products from China. I left eBay many years ago because they got to greedy with fees and to see 12K-15K come out of my paypal account per month hurts. Customers would winge about little things and leave negative feedback. When I moved off eBay I made way more money. I know ebay's changed alot now. People always ask me about eBay and I tell them it's great if your starting off but always use other distribution channels and don't soley rely on eBay. Use eBay to build your capital and then build other pillars to feed your business like offline retail sales, door to door sales people, telemarketing (very effective if you can build the right team), nationwide wholesale network, Flea markets etc. It is what it is.

    Absolutely Yes!

Speaking from my own experience, eBay is definitely a wonderful way and one of the easiest way to make money online especially if you new to MMO.

eBay is huge, and it is getting bigger everyday.

Think about it, eBay is the second largest online market place after Amazon. Unlike social network sites or search engines, people go to eBay with credit cards in their hands ready to BUY. In IM term, they are in the latest stage of the buying mode and most probably they have done their research in Google and know what they are looking for. As long as you've got the right product that they are searching for, then it is almost impossible not to sell.

I started by selling unwanted items around the house. I made more than $1,000 and I was stoked. I was really fascinated by the ingenuity of the auction systems which strongly attracts both the buyers and sellers to eBay.

When I was selling stuff, I kept monitoring my item hoping that more people would bid on it and the price would go higher. When the auction was drawing to a close, I was glued to the computer, refreshing my browser constantly and watching the last minute price war happening right in front of me. Everyone wants to win. some people are addicted to eBay simply because of the thrill of winning.

Smart bidders always bid in the last few minutes or seconds using bidding software so other bidders don't have the time to respond. I always bid at the last 7 seconds and I win most of the time at bargain price.

One the other hand, when I was bidding for an item, I was also checking the item constantly hoping that I didn't have too many competitions so I could buy the item at a bargain. eBay becomes a magnet for both buyers and sellers. When they spend time on eBay, they'll look at other items and generate more sales for eBay. Can you see how clever and profitable this system is? It is indeed pure genius.

You should start by selling any unwanted stuff around the house. One person's trash is another person's treasure. You probably have a a couple of thousand dollars worth of stuff lying around in you house, you'll be surprised!

Remember to make sure that the item is clean and take good photos. eBay is also a search engine, so it is important to put keywords in the title.

If you want to take it further and start a business, you have to do niche research to start with, then you have to access the competitions. The tool that you need for research is called "Terapeak". Once you've done your research, choose a niche and dominate it.

Same with anything that is worth doing, you need to know how to set up an eBay business and run it properly. The best training program is "Sky High Auction".

The most important point is this; " don't sell what you want to sell, sell what customer want to buy". You just have to find a hungry niche looking for the hot products, then source the product and sell it to them. Pretty straight forward, right?

But where do you source the right product that you want to sell? Be very cautious especially when you are sourcing products from China, because there are lots of scams out there. If you want to find reputable wholesale suppliers, I suggest you sign up to "World Wide Brand" which is a database of screened wholesalers so you won't get ripped off.

Have fun and enjoy the process.

    To your success,
    David

I agree with loi77. Electrics are not the way to start out. Adding to what he already said, electronics are also very expensive to get into.

    Hi there,

As a few warriors have already stated eBay is a great source of income, and a massive source of 'buyer traffic'.

With that said, I have never sold on eBay though would definitely do my homework first and be sure that your supplier is trusted by many before you open up shop!

Due to the traffic ebay receives, I believe it's still a great place to sell your products. Without traffic, you don't have a chance.

Ebay has changed but there's still some good money to be made there.

I just celebrated my 12th year on ebay. Yes, you can make some good money, but do a little research and find something nobody is selling to minimize your comp. and maximize your profit. Stay on top of their rules and tos. and yes you can do well. Good luck with your venture.
    Thx
