Should I open a separate face book account/page for my IM purpose? Is it advisable tow have two separate fb pages, one for IM business & other for personal friends & relatives?

      According to Facebook rules you are only allowed 1 account per person but... many have more.

      However, I've just "amalgamated" my accounts after discovering that info AND trying to run a "personal" and a "business" account.

      I'd say it's easier to run 1 account, as Madfin says, to create credibility,
      but put your contacts into 2 separate lists - "personal" and "business"

      Then - create a (fan) page for your business. This is what Facebook is trying to get us to do - if you're quick (and get 25 "likes" of your page) you can name your page after your business, eg Annie Gard | Facebook

      Then direct your "business" contacts to your page.

    Ok fine. I have one FB account only. Purpose was not to hide any thing, but was curious to know what the veterans in IM do. Do they have separate accounts or not?

    keep you personal wall with your personal friends . But make a fanpage someone above said only one account per person according to facebook TOS.. But I say go ape **** and create as many accounts as needed to get the job done.. Its BlackHat but keep it moral and ethical and you are still providing a product or service people are looking for and improving the lives of the end user....That how I justify it anyhow
