Plesant Amazon Surprise

So I recently moved several clickbank products over to the kindle platform. Created an amazon associate account basically to "double dip" in the potential sales. Then redirected the domain names to the kindle book link with the associates tag. Sales were fantastic afterwards.

I was so wrapped up on the kindle sales, that I had forgotten about the associates program. I logged on to see the earnings, funny NO sales on my kindle books, but tons sales on everything else people purchased after visiting the link!

It was quite a nice surprise.

I love to hear about earnings surprises. Good for you, PNC. Just sp I'm clear though, These clickbank products you own, yes? You market them on clickbank. I guess what I really mean is this: I wonder if I can use kindle to promote CB products as an affiliate through my Amazon associates account. Hmmmm. Anybody?

I love Amazon. I remember once logging in to find someone had bought a $978 product through one of my links that wasn't even in the niche I was promoting!
    Wow, that was cool

I have heard that the Amazon affiliate program does not pay very high commissions. Is this not true? What range do the average payouts from amazon products tend to be in?

    Thanks.

It is true. But although the commission is far from what you can get for promoting digital products, Amazon affiliate programme is very profitable. When you start promoting Amazon products, some of the customers that click through your link will not buy the product that you are promoting. Rather they'll buy some other products from different niches than what you're promoting. And the best thing is, you'll still get a cut from that sale.

Although it is not that much (the first time you start you will only get 4% commission), but I like to tell everyone to focus on the revenue Amazon got for 2010 (40+ Billion USD) and 2011. Amazon also has steps up their game by introducing more and more products from various niches overtime. So yeah Amazon is a very lucrative market.
