You should build the list yourself from ground zero. That way you know that your leads are fresh, good, and potentially profitable. Hire someone to do it and they might buy a safelist or something. It's always best to do it yourself.

Yea I'd agree. Sure you can use tools like ad-swaps etc, but if you completely outsource it, you will not really know where your leads are coming from which is the real key.

Your list is only as good as your leads and if the quality is poor then you may as well have none.

Never tried it and never will. The most high income activities in your business must be done yourself.

I know I can build a list and would never sell my services for less than 4-5 figures. Anything less and you know your getting junk since the outsources could just monetize the list himself and make more, why would he do it for you for couple of hundred bucks.

Outsourcing list building is not a good idea, you will be handling more than 90% of junk entries. It is a basic work which must be done by the owner with inhouse resources.

List building is absolutely about quality of your subscribers and nothing to do with quantity.

I build a list of almost 1,500 people when I first started IM, I think in two years I made 2 or 3 sales.

Later I used another method which I had just 20 people on my list, these people previously spent money with me and I provided them loads of value, they were on the list because they absolutely loved to be. I made about a sale per week from these initial 20 people.

It is all about where and how you attract your leads, if you outsource your list building you are likely going to get someone who is focusing more on numbers than quality. So unless you develop a perfect system to build your list and then train somebody to replicate your methods you will be wasting your money.

I wouldn't outsource it, because you'd have no control over the quality of the list.

The best way to outsource is to buy quality traffic and send to your squeeze pages. Solo ads come to mind.

I've read that some of the really 'big boys' in listbuilding outsource, but in that case, it's probably hired and trained workers - virtual or not. Like everything else, I would look at the 'proof' and track record and start small and scale with success... if at all
