I Have A #1 Ranked Site On Google In The Mortgage Industry What Should I Promote On It?

How many searches is it getting and i assume this is an ares in the US are there any morgage lead offers you could promote.

Congrats on your sites ranking on Google. a couple of quick suggestions.

I know you didn't ask for a critique on your site but before promoting anything why not get your site squared a way first?

If you wrote the content yourself get someone to read it and edit it for you. With the niche your in, the majority of traffic is going to be looking for "professionalism " all the way through the site.

You might want to consider getting a header designed as quickly as you can, again showing the "professionalism". Remember the first impression will be what gets your visitors to stay on your site or better yet click through on your ads, instead of clicking back to the search page.

The sooner you can get this done the better you will be able to maximize your ROI.

Keep adding fresh, new unique content. By doing that you will be able to retain your # 1 position.

As far as getting maximum ROI, I suggest you drive as much traffic as possible to your site. Make sure you have "Google Analytics" for proof of the traffic so you can attract advertisers and ask for a fair advertising rate from them.

A well thought out plan will allow you to maximize your ROI.

If you are getting good traffic then you can offer advertisements or run a paid ads directory.....

Also if you have some PR you can offer paid backlinks or can do a mix of all this to get maximum profits

I have one about hotels for a local area:

It ranks #1 for 6 keywords

and I charge £100 a month to have their site listed on there. (maximum of 5 hotels)

When i started i just created a report of the traffic the site was getting and sent it to the 28 hotels in the area via post. Explaining how much traffic they would get and how they don't want to miss out etc..

The 5 packages were sold within 24 hours, 3 of which paid for a year up-front. ( I limited it to 5 to create a rush and sense of importance, nobody want's to be the one that is NOT getting all the attention )

The site basically says:

The Top 5 hotels in ****

And lists the hotels

Best thing about it is I get free meals at their restaurants

You could contact local mortgage loan officers and offer to send leads direct to the loan offer's website for a fee per lead.

Or place the loan officers ad directly on your website. Most loan officers would pay dearly for fresh local leads.

Put a "call now" button up that is routed to a loan officers cell or office phone and charge for those leads.

You can charge a good amount by sending "hot" leads to mortgage brokers or loan officers.

I would offer your visitors the option to advertise on your site.

I would look for some CPA offers and also add them there.

I would go to Google Adsense and sign up with them also.

You can also look for a product or multiple affiliate products that can earn you commissions. Just make sure that you work with the ones that have the potential to pay you residual income.

Hey Steven, I maintained mortgagescanada.ca and had much the same problem not so long ago. Not sure what services you offer or through your company or if the site is just a referral based site... but we found the most profitability by just using direct response elements and no ads
