Best way to use affiliate hoplinks???

I am completely new to internet marketing. I mean i really know next to nothing! I have opened up a clickbank account and am attempting to use their affiliate program to try and bring in some extra cash. I am just not entirely sure what the best way to use the hop links i get is. I mean, when setting up an ad on Google or anywhere else, it looks so bad to have your link be an affiliate link. No one is going to want to click it.

Does anyone know the best answer for this? Is it as simple as setting up a domain through someone like GoDaddy and just forwarding and masking? Or is there a better way??

All comments are most appreciated!

Thanks!

    Hi Hefeg -
    If you'll be advertising via Google AdWords, you'll need to set up a website that has a landing page containing content, as well as have links off to a privacy statement, a contact us link etc.

    You can technically use affiliate links in the URL you're advertising but Google generally doesn't care for these.

    If instead you're advertising the product via your own blog or your own site, I highly suggest that you hide that affiliate link.

    The best way to do this is by placing your actual affiliate link on a redirect page. Clickbank has an excellent tutorial on how to do just that:

    I do .php redirects such as www.mydomain.com/productname.php which will redirect to an affiliate offer via my link.

    All you have to do is copy and paste the code below into notepad. Then, change the link to your affiliate link and save the file as a .php extension. So, if I was promoting "Fat Loss 4 Idiots" I might save the file as FatLoss4Idiots.php

    If my domain was www.weightlossreviews.com then I would upload the file to the public folder and my redirect link would be http://www.weightlossreviews.com/FatLoss4Idiots.php

    Here is the code:

    Code:
    <?php
    /* Redirect browser */
    header("Location:   http://clickbankID.vendor.clickbank.net");
    /* Make sure that code below does not get executed when we redirect. */
    exit;
    ?>
    Hope that helps

    Let me take you from the start:

    My suggestion is for you to setup a review site for CB products and link to each review from your ads.

    Then use an HTACCESS file to forward the visitor from your review to the CB sales page.

    I've tried direct links on my blog and those don't work squat. I am migrating to links via posts/reviews that have worked much better.

    I've discussed the HTACCESS method of linking in a blog post. It's easy setting up, but make sure to test each link with a click to make sure that it works.

    Success,
