Hi

As a newbie sometimes I come across a tool ( usually free) and just wish that I had found it a lot earlier !!

The last one I picked up has been great for posting images on forums
and its called Easy Capture and its free.

from easy-capture dot com

Please share your favorite sw tools so we can all benefit.

Can be for SEO, Traffic, Niche Reseach, Keywords, PPC, Backlinks
Article writing, website production. ... you get the idea !

BTW I use HTML-kit with some plug-ins - so if you recommend any plug-ins that would be useful as well
Thanks

PS - if there is an existing good thread please post it as that will also help.
(I did search and only found a couple of useful post and it took ages !! )

Hope this thread will help everyone

I make a substantial part of my income developing websites for offline clients. There are a number of tools, both free and paid, that I use on a daily basis.

    Free tools I use regularly:

To create simple but elegant sites that the client can manage themselves with some training I provide I use Wordpress.

To create more complex, multi-page HTML sites I use Kompozer

To manipulate graphics I use The GIMP

    My FTP tool is FileZilla

There are others but these are the ones I use almost daily and are essential to me.

Other tools that I use regularly but that I have paid for can be found on my blog, particularly in my "Toolbox": BayWebPro Internet Marketing. All of the links on my blog are my affiliate links but you can easily bypass them with a little effort if you want to order directly from the vendor. The vendors are all well-known and highly regarded members of this forum.

Here are 7 Great Free Tools That I Use Constantly:

        1. WebCEO (advises you on how to get at least 7/10 "OK" and often 8/10 "Great" Quality Score on AdWords)

        2. Google Ad Preview - lets you look at PPC and organic Google results FOR any territory in the world FROM any territory in the world.

        3. Offto dot net - free link cloaker.

        4. Camstudio - free Camtasia style screen capture video recorder.

        5. Backlinkwatch dot com - not unique but allows you to check how your own backlinks are growing (if they are!) and where your competitors are getting their link juice.

        6. Sitemapdoc dot com - quick way to create an XML RSS feed from a static web page that you can pump into RSS aggregators like the excellent Feedagg dot com AND sitemaps for Google.

        7. eBay Pulse - gives you a quick snapshot of what the hottest sellers are on eBay at any given time.

I do use other ('un-free') tools - Power Article Rewriter, Article Post Robot, SocialBot, DirectoryBot, PressBot etc - but the free ones above are fantastic tools for IM.

PM me if you need more info on any of the above.

Good thread by the way, kudos to the OP .

    Filezilla (ftp)
ProxyFireWall - forces all apps to use proxies, and swaps them on the fly.
    YIM essential!
Sun xVM virtualbox - for creating sandoxed virtual machines on your PC
Answereye - awesome free Y!A answering tool
ClamWin antivirus - not quite as good as Kas as it does not have a realtime monitor but very good otherwise.
ScrapeGenius - forget SerpScraper, this is better, and costs $97 less (ie it's free!)
Cobian backup - best backup software I have used.
WinRar - walks all over WinZip
BlueVoda - I use this to design all of my sites. Can be used for any hosting, not just Vodahost.
