BuySellAds charge 25% fee, worth it?

I see BuySellAds is quite popular among webmasters and forum owners, it's a good solution for selling and managing your ad inventory, only that their fee is on the high of 25%, what you think and is there any other alternatives or similar services?

The way I look at it, whatever you think your ad space is worth, add 25% to it, put it on BuySellAds and see if you get a bite.

Some ad income is better than no ad income.

I am currently using a free 3rd party service to rotate my banners, I am just wondering why people will use this service as it has so high a fee.

        Got two questions for you

        1) How many people see your 3rd party ad service?
        2) How many people do you think will see your site on BSA?

Those questions will tell you what to do.
25% of something is better than 100% of nothing.

          Here are my answers:
          1) I use the 3rd party service to rotate my banners, not for selling, I am planning to install my own rotation script when I find a good one.
          2) Even if you are using BSA, you still have to promote your ad page, although BSA internal link to your ad page will give you some random traffic.

Why do you rotate banners when you don't sell your adspace? Can't see a point, maybe i'm missing something here.

A lot of people browse the BSA market to find good advertising options (including myself), thats why they charge you 25%.

It seems you already made up your mind to run your own system, so good luck

I am actually going to sign up for BSA but was put off when I saw the 25% fee, I am expecting to pay 5% fee on top of the PayPal fees.

Your paying for a complete advertising solution, not just the ad-serving system.

    It's not worth it.
At this point their site is so over-saturated with sellers you're lost in the mix. If I have to essentially put ads for their site, on your site just to sell ads, then what do I need them for?
