Social bookmarking manually or automated?

First post, nice community

Is it best to do bookmarking manually or automated?

If manually, then does any one have a list of social site or know of a paid/free service provider that will do them manually for me

If automated is the way to go, then please tell me what the best tool is...

    I bought Bookmarking Demon two days ago, and so far I am very disappointed in it. The list of 'failed' attempts vastly outweighs the 'success' submissions, every time. I'm starting to feel like I am chasing rainbows with this software. It has some great functionality built into it, but the execution and flow is off the f*&^ing map. So far, after three days of non-stop work with it, thumbs down.

    I have yet to experience the FULL POWER of Social Bookmarking. I am currently going through a manual process as my links are only being focused on my home page for my eCommerce Store.

    The Demon Software I have read and heard about for sometime, but I still debate in using many tools. I guess it all depends on the purpose of what you are trying to achieve and the business you are trying to run.

      I used OnlyWire for awhile, but I think manual is the way to go. That way, you can verify.

    Do it manually. The best social bookmarking sites use Capcha. Submitting a site to too many social bookmarking sites in a short time also looks spammy and is a "red flag." It might take a little longer, but it will be worth it in the end.

    Bookmarking Deomon is good but there is a learning curve for a lot of people. Onlywire, pixelpipe and socialadr will probably work great for you.

    I see that many automatic bookmarking tools will submit to a lot of 'sub-par' bookmarking sites. Do these sites really matter in the grand scheme, or should I just manually submit to say the best 20 or 50 ?

    Also, how often should I submit bookmarks? One time? Monthly? Please advise.

    SocialAdr.com is a nice mix. It's a little pricey for what it is, but it's more legit looking in a lot of ways. You can also get a bunch for free.
