INTERNET MARKETING

Can someone tell me what is the software that rich jerk is using on
his site for the popup?? When someone arrives at your site it grays out the rest
of the page and shows up a popup in the center of the screen.

Do a search on light box.
It's wordpress plugin but I think it's available as standalone too

  It's Lightbox.
  
  It's also being used at this site. The CSS code confirmed it.
  
  It's free if you want to hunt the code down.

  Yeah, I tracked it down and it looks to be using Lightsqueeze, from Lightbox. I'm using Greybox for some of my projects. This does the same thing.

  I've recently implemeted GreyBox in place of a slide-in DHTML subscription box and have noticed a significant increase in visitors subscribing.
  
  It could be the "latest gimmick" factor at play but that's OK by me.

  People use the exact same code for picture albums on some sites as well. It greys out the rest and shows the picture alone. I do believe that is lightbox. I have it on my site too but it isn't a pop-up as what you think in terms of a tradional IM pop-up.
  
  Its used for displaying pictures or content and lots of prominent sites use it. It's a nice little feature.
