What is the best paid method to drive traffic to a content website?

I have several content sites in the works that I hope to monetize by giving away(no opt in, it would be optional) a free report. My goal is to sell real products and services through the report and build up a buyers list. I could afford $20.00 a day advertising budget to start.

Does anyone know a good cheap source of at least semi-targeted traffic that allows content websites? Google content network does not, and I was well versed in that. Any tips are appreciated. Thanks.

Try PPV.....It's the cheapest and if you can target your site to related sites you can get bang for the bucks. If you are not using opt-in you are leaving money on the table. So, try to have optin for your report

That really depends on your niche and where your traffic is most likely to find you.

For some that might be adwords, or facebook, or stumble or ???

Really tough to say w/o specific details.

And - yes - you can do adwords still for 20 bucks a day if you target the right kind of keywords.

Don't want to do free marketing? It can end up getting you more traffic than your $20/day advertising budget can.

Why not start with free traffic?

Then when you start getting some results, reinvest in adwords or facebook ads.

Unfortunately free traffic is not so free...

Your time is worth money. Every hour you invest in manually powering your traffic worth something. PPC is the most targeted. It allows you to target the exact keywords that your target audience is searching for. As long as you are not in the make money niche you are ok

It really depends on your niche and keywords. CPV is the cheapest. You can get pop up's for a half cent from CPV networks, again..depending on the keywords.

I made quite a bit of money with Youtube and it's pretty inexpensive and highly targeted.

Adwords will be a good choice. But if I were you I will get someone to do the site promotions for me. It'll be a no-brainer choice as you can shift strategies in case the first one doesn't work. You can analyze what brings you good traffic and whats not.

do a week of conversion testing with each day being a new network. at the end of the week choose the two best and then see test all aspects of the ad to see which converts best.

Doesn't it cost hundreds upfront to get into one of those networks? My niche is not make money related by the way, but a major niche.

You better use Solo Ads to drive traffic to your content websites.

Solo ads is the best paid traffic for list building. The traffic is targeted and you could get many opt-ins in short time.
