You will need to set up a website that delivers value for a set target audience. Whether your solving a problem or entertaining your audience your will need to monetize through products or cost per action methods.

First you will need to define the niche you are interested in. Next go deeper and find a sub niche that you will focus on. Example: Weight loss - big niche. Sub niche - 6 pack abs.

On your website make sure that you are delivering extreme value and helping people solve their problem. People do business with those who they trust. Give your visitors a free report in exchange for their name and email.

Pick one or two traffic methods to focus on. Do your research on traffic generation strategies to see what appeals to you. There are so many choices. Come back to warrior forum and learn from the members.

Focus on taking action at a ratio of 90% to 10% learning. Many newbies do the opposite in ratio of action to learning. Now go young grasshopper...

You have a few options. You can sell a service or skill that you have: writing, blog commenting, backlinking, creating squidoo lens etc. You could sell these services in a forum such as warrior forum or on flippa.

Another option would be to use free web 2.0 websites to promote products. Squidoo also you to use affiliate links. You could create different lens for different items and promote products to get affiliate sales.

For me it was selling online stuff to offline business people.

Long story short. I left home with nothing but one way bus fare in my pocket and returned home the same evening with a few hundred dollars and the knowledge that I would never be broke again.

I don't know where you live, however, if you are anywhere near a city or town there are thousands of people out there that don't know how to post on a forum, use email, clean up viruses and spyware from their PCs, sign up for a hosting account, on and on. These people will pay you for what you know.

What are your skills? What do you know how to do? You can start by taking one of those skills that you love to do and love working at it and learning to use free classified ads to find your new customers.

You can offer a special offer to new clients, " I just started a new business doing xyz and I thought I could help you a,b,c and increase your customers, clients, profits, visits, (whatever you are going to do for them). I have an introductory rate of $25 an hour (you set your price) and do the work." Something like that....

To avoid the monthly cost of sites Use social media sites until you can get your own website and autoresponder: I have a list of free resources to get you a free website and free autoresponder. Eventually you will need to alot 10 to 30 percent of your profits to investing in the online tools you need.

Offer a service here, even if it's in your sig. There has to be SOMETHING you can do. The amount of traffic this forum generates is insane. So you'll get some business just from your sig.

Turn around and invest that money into the basics - domain, hosting, etc - and go from there.

It is possible to do internet marketing with zeo money BUT it is advisable to invest 'even' a little bit. Ie - hosting, one or two domain names etc. This will only cost a few dollars but will enable you to start 'your OWN' websites.

Earning money realy is down to the knowledge you can gain and by testing things out yourself. Trial and error is one of the true ways of becoming successful online.

The most important thing to do is get your name out there. Other commenters have given some decent advice. Try Odesk, Guru, Fiverr and even Freelancer.com just to get your feet wet and start building up a reputation.

You don't go into what your skill set is, but the number one thing to remember is reputation is everything online. People can't see you in person so all they have to go on is what they read and hear about you online.

Best way is to sell your self. Offer your services. Go to outsourcing directory sites and sell your self.

you can always sell service work. Make logos, write content, build links, design web pages,etc till you get your start up money

Seems to me Fiverr would be easiest place to get started offering a service and, as others also say, be meticulous with everything about your service including meeting promised deadlines every time.

If you just want extra cash, then the best advice for you is to do something like Fiverr gigs, because offering a service is one of the best ways how to earn money.

Then, on the other hand, it will require huge amounts of work if you want to grow an online business from scratch and you have no money to invest.

Free traffic requires that you are very dedicated. If you have that ability to persist, then you're on your way to success online -make money.

I would suggest Fiverr.com would work for you...but once you make some money I recommend you don't sell yourself for that cheap :-)

If you have a list, even a small one then you can make money by strategically promoting affiliate offers to them that align with their interests. Of course you should provide outstanding content and value to your list before you try to sell them anything but that is relatively easy to do. One of the most valuble skills to learn is direct response copy writing... if you learn that skill you can turn your email list into income with no money being spent. Wishing you much success!

I've been in those shoes before, I'll tell you a few things that helped get me going.

Like a lot of others have said here, Fiverr is a good start. I got started on Fiverr and started selling services based on what I was good at and what I don't mind doing. I didn't stop at Fiverr though, I also sold services on other gig related sites like Fourerr and Gigdollars too. I also did freelance writing and joined some freelance writing sites like Squidoo, Triond and Bukisa. Soon I earned enough to begin making my own investments.

Basically find something you like doing or you're passionate about, then turn it into a service you can sell to others, then build off of it from there.
