What brought them to my web page?

Hi. Can anyone please recommend the best site analytics tool? Specifically looking for what words brought them to our site, but would like a comprehensive tool. So far we are using zilch.

Phone has been ringing more this week (yayy!!) from on-page optimization efforts, which are only half-way complete. So I'm very excited but for the life of me can't figure where we appeared on SE for this person who just called b/c I'm not hitting the top of Google for anyplace but our local small city. And his biz is in larger city next door.

Thank you!

I'd just stick to either Google Analytics or Piwik.

I've used both and they are great. I primarily use Piwik on my sites these days, it's just what I'm used to.

Google analytics all the way for me. They have got some really good new functionality that has been introduced recently. Plus it all links into webmaster tools, adsense, maps etc.

The only sad thing is G's new hiding keywords for signed in users.

I'm playing with Piwik as well, trying to figure out how I can offer it as-a-service.

Edit: Any other ideas for an open source analytics package that's a little more fleshed out? Preferably that natively supports multiple user accounts.

Use Google analytics or hyper tracker for even better tracking.
