How could I spend two hours a day to earn a little extra money?

Hello all,

A friend and I are looking to spend a couple of hours a day each (four hours) to earn a little extra income.

I am a PPCer by trade and have a good understanding of SEO and my mate is a web developer.

Ideallly we would like something that we could start to see revenue from fairly quickly, not huge amounts, just something.

If you were in the same situation, what type of project would you work on?

All the best.

If you need quick income and have that amount of time on your hands then the obvious answer to me would be to setup a gig on Fiverr around your skills, possibly try Freelancer for your friend and apply for the web developer jobs if you could do it within your time limit.

      Yep.

Services are a fast way to make some cash and only take a little bit of time to start getting sales.

Fiverr would pick up a few bucks and you could also try oDesk or other outsourcing sites. If you go with Fiverr, make sure you choose something that you can scale up price wise when you hit the higher levels.

    Some great replies here.

    Thanks for all your input.

We already have clients (SEO and PPC) which bring in some good money and this is on top of our daytime jobs.

We're trying to move away from doing work for others.

I don't quite knoww how to phrase what i mean, but were looking for a project where we will be earning oursleves money (affiliates, amazon site, our own ecommerce site etc.) I hope this makes sense.

Initially we will just be investing our time, but within a few weeks we will be able to invest £200 into whatever we decide to do. When we start to see revenue coming in we will be reinvesting everything to continue growth.

Ideally we would like something to earn £1000 profit per month from whatever we dcide to do.

I would definitely check out fiverr aswell. You could start with projects that are within your expertise. Or you could find some arbitrage and take profits in between.

      Good Morning,

I am the person who will be working with Tronsmith on this project.

I think what we are trying to look for is something we can set up using both our skill sets that will generate a passive income (so we can effectively earn as we sleep)

The idea of exchanging my time for $5 isn't very interesting as I could just resource more clients that I can charge for ongoing work.

This needs to work as a second income that if for some reason we were not able to get to the computer that day would still work for us.

Why not build simple sites earning a dollar a day on Adsense (or something else similar) and sell those sites at the WF or on Flippa? Is this something you would consider in your criterion of moving away from services for others?

Also, why not try product creation? Write an e-book about PPC, and do a split testing case study. Could also be a good video course.

These things can be done quickly...do a little each day.

Just my two cents, hope you find something.

Articles: I actually have some adsense sites being built for me at the moment. many fingers, many pies.

I think product dreation may be a good idea.

I appreciate list building can be very, very lucrative, however, I have no idea how to go about this.

Are there any WSOs or products that explain list building?

Product creation is a fab idea.

Re a WSO, no need...there are lots of threads that will teach you how. Sign up with Aweber and follow their tut.

Create a short report as a list-building incentive.

There's soooooo much free info out there on product creation and listbuilding!

Well, if you know SEO, then you could leverage that knowledge by building niche websites. Assuming that you understand the process of keyword research, you could make hundreds of dollars from every niche website you build.

Also, offering your services on Fiverr.com is a good one. If you haven't invested the time (1-2 years) to gain experience and wisdom about internet marketing, how it works, what you have to do, and want to only make a couple hundred bucks every month to invest later on, then I advise you simply offer your services.

You need to decide whether you want to make this IM thing work out, or you want to just make that extra money to invest later on.

    Cheers,
    Ray

There are some good replies/ideas here and pretty much what I was thinking when I read the thread headline. In addition to fiverr, there are at least 10 other decent gig sites with pretty good traffic.

If I was you, my vote would be for a service first and then possibly a product/wso down the line - partly based/inspired on your experience with the service.

Easy is a relative word and I don't want to throw it around, but with both of your skills together and 2 fiverr accounts, that's 40 gig listings you can have PLUS all the other gig sites. I would say it should be easy to bring in $100 / day.

As I've posted a number of times, the best SEO gigs on fiverr (from ONE listing) have 500+ orders in the queue. That's 3K !!! - of backorders that they'll clear out in 7 days and then do another and another...

    Good luck!

Just jumping back in here, but if your looking for passive income as such then I'd wait and see where your Adsense sites end up and leverage your SEO to get them ranking, after which I'd recommend creating a product around your expertise and go out and market it or alternatively offer it as an incentive for a list and then market to that list.

So this achieves your aim of passive income as the money truly is in the list, you'd have been able to create your own product and get a taste for that and not forgetting how to build a list and market to it.

I reccommend starting a blog. You said you are good at SEO and your mate could help make it look great. A blog will allow you to sell ads, promote affiliate products, create your own products and maybe even build a list. While your blog is being established, you could sell your services like people have mentioned above in order to recieve quick income.

    Two suggestions...

    Zeek Rewards

    Banners Broker

I can literally babystep you to success with both of them. Follow the link to learn more about BB and PM me if you'd like more info on Zeek Rewards.

I've started both these opportunities within the last 3 months, and brother, I'm no internet marketing wiz or anything, and I am experiencing very high amounts of success with both and can not recommend them both more highly.

Happy to help anyone else out that would like more info on either

You could have a look at any of these sites:

    www.constant-content.com, www.fiverr.com, www.textbroker.com, www.textbroker.co.uk, www.vworker.com, www.freelancer.com, www.iwriter.com, www.odesk.com, www.elance.com, www.guru.com, and The Content Authority.

You could also start a thread in the 'Warriors for Hire' section and sell services.

    • I would do physical product sales.

Sure, you can develop affiliate or AdSense sites, but those can take months to bring in any income. You said you wanted some cash right away.

If you're already working at a day job, you can scare up some capital and get started buying inventory, then list on Amazon or eBay. I recommend Amazon.
