How to Get Affiliates on JVZOO, Plimus, digiresults

I may be wrong here, but don't you have to advertise it yourself. I'm not sure if those guys do that for you.

I use a couple of JVZoo products and they sell well on my list. But I do the 'selling' or marketing not JVZoo. They just handle it all and the sale goes into Paypal or wherever...

I would write a good description and give a good commission, on jv zoo pick the 3 most relevant categories too that helps anyone looking in the marketplace to find your product.

As for the other 2 I haven't had any experience.

I'm in a similar situation right now but ultimately it's about learning to market your affiliate program.

I can only speak for JVzoo but there is a lot of products on their and for the most part, affiliates are probably going to be searching for the hottest sellers and checking out the conversion data.

It's about getting the word out and that may come back to showing everyone what a great, high converting product you have on your hands that can (potentially) make them a lot of money.

Probably not the answer you want but IMHO that's the reality.

There is another way to get affiliates to promote you product....

Go out there and search for them - shoot them a short email introducing yourself and ask them politely would they be interested in doing a JV with you...

If they are then just direct them to your affiliate page with all the relevant swipes/banners etc. and you ready to go. However, this method of head hunting affiliates is time consuming and is better if you outsource it.

If you emailed 100 possible JVs you may only get a 5% positive reply but that 5% could have HUGE lists or visitors to their site and could be very valuable to you. I know I've found in the past that I get affiliates through Clickbank but some of them send me very little traffic whatsoever.... At least my recruiting them yourself you are confident that the ones who do come on board will in fact be able to put sufficient numbers your way.

I have a product that's been selling on JVZoo for a few years now. Most of the affiliates that come from them aren't that great by themselves (same goes for Clickbank and any other platform really). They way I've built up affiliates was having my second autoresponder message that goes out invite my customer to become an affiliate. I've had a number of big affiliates buy my product and then go on to promote for me.

If you aren't making sales yet though I would suggest just reaching out to affiliates directly. Personally, I like the autoresponder method because it automated things a bit.

I have seen many people advertising to get affiliates.

Use some cheap methods of advertising, with great ROI like..

>> Facebook ads
>> Solo Ads

Create a great JV page with email signup for affiliates, like..

There are many stuff you need to check before you launch your product. I will try to list some of these stuff here and I hope it will help you.

So you need
1) a high quality product. affiliates want to promote value. they hate refunds and burn their list with LQ products
You need to create
2) good sale page and
3) nice looking jv page with affiliate tools, details of your funnel, product etc..
4) if your front end is less than $10 give them 100% commisions
5) Index your product on Jv Launch calendars
6) build relashionships with affiliates
7) do a pre-launch before your product go live and some fb ads promoting your jv page

You've gotten some good advice here.

Essentially, once you make the decision to use affiliates to market your product you need to focus on recruiting affiliates, rather than attracting customers. A few good affiliates can get you many more sales than you might ever get on your own, so affiliate recruitment should get your primary attention.

Note - As has been said by others, simply listing your product in an affiliate network is of little help.

All you did was lump your product in with thousands of competing products in the mistaken belief that yours would automatically be promoted by the impressive number of affiliates they advertise. You need to recruit affiliates to promote your offer.

You advertise your affiliate opportunity much like you would advertise your product. Create a "sales" page dedicated to selling your affiliate program, listing the benefits (high conversion rate, high commission rate, instant commissions, etc.) of becoming your affiliate - and then send potential affiliates to that "sales" page. Include the affiliate sign up form directly on that page, or put a link to the affiliate sign up form.

Generally you'll need to get a few sales of your own before affiliates will take notice. The affiliates entire income rests on your product converting so, understandably, they aren't going to want to waste time promoting a product which doesn't make them any money.

You might get a few affiliates, if you're lucky, by having your product available with a good % commission, you might get a few more just by having a strong sales page up but most of the top affiliates will only promote the products with a good conversion rate. So you will need to drive a few sales yourself and then the affiliates will follow.

I know that's what a lot of people will tell you, but...

If you work on relationships with good affiliate marketers BEFORE creating your product, pre-announce your product to that select few with a one on one conversation (i.e. skype or phone vs. email), give them a special "JV" commission rate, and a free review copy... even super affiliates can be receptive.

Know, like, and trust go a loooong way.

Spoon feed them pre-launch info so that they can be first to promote, and they really aren't that hard to get on board. The really good affiliates after reviewing your sales page, your product, and your sales funnel will decide for themselves whether they can successfully sell your product to their list.

They know that the conversion rate is not only dependent on the sales copy, but also the pre-sales copy that they will produce. They have no way of knowing how responsive YOUR list is, so the conversion rate is immaterial. They do know how responsive their own list is, and they are perfectly capable of critiquing your sales copy in order to "guesstimate" what their conversion rate will be (the only number that matters to them).

Great thread, awesome input, I would add that if you have a solid product that has legs, you might want to fast track the process and shop for a solid JV broker.

If your product can stand on it's own, a solid broker will open doors FAST.

You can try building a list and recommend your Jvzoo products or you can shoot up an email to internet marketers asking for a JV venture. There is a JV section of the warrior forum you can try emailing potential candidates there.

You provided a great resource here. While it certainly can't hurt to make sales and have high conversion rates on your offer, networking is crucial as well especially when you're new and no one has heard of you.

You have to be proactive and get the word out about your launch when you're new, and just listing your product on a marketplace like JVZoo where there are literally dozens of products launching daily just isn't going to cut it.

You have to "recruit" affiliates/JVs to get them to promote your products. Listing products is just part of the process which doesn't guarantee affiliate sign ups. There are JV forums out there where you need to interact with potential affiliates and JVs and maybe even announce JV prizes etc.

Also remember that JVs with good lists don't always promote anything and everything that comes their way.You have to build a relationship first and unless there's something "extra" for them in the deal many JVs are not even going to show interest in your product. And of course you need conversion stats for your product to recruit affiliates.

What happens if you've already done a soft launch of your products on your blog? I've already made nearly 100 sales with very little refunds. I wanted to make sure my audience would buy first before recruiting affiliates.

Now that I know they are buying consistently and satisfied with the products, I'm ready to recruit. Can you still do a launch when you've already released your product on your own blog and list? On my blog I kept the price low at $10 but for my affiliate promotions, I plan to bump the price to $17 and add some additional content within the version of the product that the affiliates would promote to add value to the higher price point.

Any thoughts on how to approach this if you've already done a soft launch of your product? Surprisingly since listing my product on JVZoo I've already had affiliates requesting to promote so that's good.

You can totally do another launch. That's great data to bring to potential affiliates. Reach out to some affiliates and make your product into a WSO (It sounds like you've only launched it on your blog).

I usually have an autoresponder inviting my buyers to become affiliates, or something in the content that does. There's been a number of times that I've gotten bigger affilaites from them buying my product at a dimesale and then deciding to promote it.

We do repeat launches on our website too. (create waiting lists) etc.

I would try to find a way to send a decent amount of sales to your product through those platforms, so you can get some stats for your product. Affiliates want to promote products that will make them the most money using their existing resources. Make sure you've fully optimized your sales page, so you can get stats that affiliates will find very lucrative.
