Hey all,

Quick FB question regarding "likes". When you have a business page set-up with the timeline layout is a "like" the same as a fan?

I'm in the middle of re-working our FB strategy and I've been looking at lots of other business pages. They display how many likes they have directly on the front page. Would this be considered the same as a "fan" or basically a lead?

Thanks

Brandon

I would consider a like as a fan. Most of the people who like your page wont actually be customers at the particular time. It's your job to turn them from prospects in to customers.

Them liking your page doesn't really mean much if you don't follow through and take action after.

Yes, likes can be considered the same as fans. Direct promoting on social media has
never worked very well, so you should aim to convert your fans to leads.

    As others said.

Like should considered as a fans of your products.

They might be interested to buy the product in the future or they like to see updates from your page. And many other things.

You should write user friendly articles( easy understand ) in your blog about your products.

So that they will purchase and utilize your products or services.

Basically yes, though as another poster put it, it's all up to you to make those "Like"s convert to sales.

yes a like is a fan .... Once you have a "like" from somebody every time you post on your wall they see it on their wall that is how you would make money from a fanpage in the first place is sending them an offer via your wall .. well there are a couple of more methods for monetizing fans too but its beyond the scope of this thread..PS I am launching a HUGE facebook WSO in about a week I need a few Betatesters PM me if interested I am only going to extend this to 10 people

    Hey all,

Thanks for all the input. The main thing I wanted to know was that once they like my page my stuff appears in their news feed...Just as it would if they were a fan.

    Thanks!
