Question on JVZoo Pricing

Hey, I just signed up as a seller at JVZoo because I am getting ready to launch an affiliate program with my PLR site (after it grows just a bit more).

Now, I think I got the pricing down, but I found that they really didn't come out and say what the pricing would be (outside of the flat $17 price, which from I saw was only for WSO sellers).

If I'm correct, it said the pricing is 5% per product.

Does that mean if I setup my affiliate program to give affiliates 50% that they get 50%, I get 45% and JVZoo gets the final 5%? Or, am I just completely wrong here?

If wrong, feel free to scream at me (just not too loudly) and tell me the truth. This is my first time setting up an affiliate program, so I want to make sure I do it right.

Thanks for the help.

You can either pay 17 dollars per product you list, and they (JVZoo) wont get any % of each sale. By the way, this is NOT just for WSO sellers. You have that option for any product you list on JVZoo, regardless of where your sales page is.

OR if you choose the free listing option, JVZoo gets 5% of each sale, and the affiliate gets their full 50% (if an affiliate made the sale)

So yes, in your scenario, you'd get 45%.

No, in my experience its been 10%. I sold a few $5 products at 50% commissions and they took $ .25 commission. Since 50% of $5 is 2.50, that would be 10%. They took that out of my cut so I was actually only getting 40%. I still don't think that's bad since those are sales I wouldn 't get if it weren't for JVZoo so I'm not complaining.

But 5% of 5.00 is... badda bing... 0.25.

The 5% is off the top.

I don't know if the affiliate get 50% of the original price or after JVZoo gets their cut though.

    Na, its only 5%.

Trust me. I've made a pretty substantial amount on JVZoo's platform and they only get 5% of each sale for their fee. But yea, like you said I'll gladly give them 5% of each sale in exchange for using their site for free.. lol

Jvzoo give you two options to pay for your buttons. You pay upfront fee of $17 or you can get the button for FREE Upfront and pay %5 on each sale. It depends how you want to run it. I myself went the route of using the free option on one launch and it costs me MORE in the long run so I would suggest you just pay upfront. Those 50 cents payments add up quick for JVZOO haha

There seems to be no way to choose the $17 option- has anyone been able to find it, or is this just a myth?

Once you make a sale, theres no going back. You're stuck on the free option.

You have to pay the 17 dollars before it makes any sales.

And you have to find that elusive button before you can pay the $17, which is the issue.

        I never found it, either.

Don't like that you can't pay the $17 later though. If you actually could find a link for it or instructions in the FAQ.

Like the guru said, it's one or the other, flat rate or percentage. I've used JVZoo for sales and affiliate management, and I've never even done a WSO.

I know this is slightly unrelated, but I figure it isn't worthwhile starting a whole new thread for it.

Does JVZoo give an option for fixed term membership site payments? I tried to list my product on a few other vendor sites and they just make it difficult to set this up.

One sec guys, I'll make a quick video demonstration.

    lol

@Garrie, the affiliate gets the full 50%, JVZoo gets 5% - so you get 45%.

And Jamie, JVZoo is pretty simple to set up recurring payments.. I suppose I'll show that in the video as well.

    Stay tuned

Ok, so good news & bad news.

    GOOD news:

Yes you can still do recurring payments with JVZoo, and its extremely simple to set up.

I DID create a video explaining how to do it, but I decided theres no point in uploading it due to the bad news.

    BAD news:

It looks like JVZoo has removed the "one time payment" option..?

I dunno.. I don't see it anymore when I create a new product..

Maybe Brian will see this thread & chime in, but I'm just as clueless as you guys on that subject now.. LOL

Anyway, @ Jamie, recurring payments are EXTREMELY easy to setup with JVZoo.

You will see the option when you add your product, on the left-hand side.

Give it a try for yourself. You won't be sorry
