I want to receive online payments on a website. I am using papal from few years for sending and receiving money. But I never used papal to accept payments on a website. But Now I need a gateway to receive payments on a website. So I use papal but I am not feeling good. As my website will accept payments only from papal account or if my customer do not have papal account then they have to create account with papal with thier credit card. I want to accept all debit card and credit cards on the website. So I think 2checkout is a good option.

Please suggest which is better option to receive payments using all cards. Or any other solution.

As I see you are in India, if you need fast access to your money than I say going with PayPal will the good option for you.

For me, I find 2CO is more good for me (still being in India), because of the various options it give to my customer for paying for the services, like Credit Cards, Debit Cards & PayPal Including. (But in this case PayPal money goes to 2CO account, so you may not have the quick access to your fund).

2CO also priovides many good features like Fraud Detection, Offering Discounts to your customer etc

I had read today in 1 of the forum that code "byetn2co11" for full waiver of the 49$ fee is still working in case you need to open the account with them. (But Not Sure that whether it will work or not)

    Hope this help.

I also think that 2co is good. I also have coupen code to get free 2co account but applying for 2co account need registered company name.

    Hey situ08,

If you want to accept payments on your website or redirect off your site you have two options. 1 option is to use a self hosted provider like 2checkout.com, the only problem is see is the processing fee is fairly high, I think something like 5%+. Another is where people will be redirected off your website, its no secret when people are redirected off a site it can hurt conversions from 3%+ up words.

The other option is to incorporate a business within the US, get a forwarding business address you can use so post can be sent to you address in india, get an EIN then contact a bank in the US, once this has been achieved the bank will be able to offer you a US domestic merchant account and gateway. At that point you will be able to accept paypal and credit cards.

I live in the UK, London. And I have done this process and others from india too. BTW the costs are really low too.

Convenience wise - Paypal is awesome! Since I have not worked with 2CheckOut, I personally cannot give any opinion. But as far as Paypal goes, its simply amazing.

seeing that 2checkout can also accept paypal for you. that makes it good. and if your country is not listed on paypal list, then avoid it. i will recommend 2checkout for you.

2Checkout are terrible, I used them a few years ago and after 3 weeks they decided to refund EVERY payment I had taken with them citing them ALL as fraudulant transactions.

Needless to say the user had already received his product and I was unable to get them back, I would never use them again.
