Hey everyone, I've been studying and watching a niche for years that is about to burst wide open. It's the Diablo 3 PC game by Blizzard Entertainment, scheduled to launch May 15th. If you're a savvy marketer, that gives you 2 months to cash in on an mmo niche that is likely going to rival world of warcraft. In fact, it's estimated that 5 million copies of the game will sell in the first year alone. That's half the size of World of Warcraft and that game has been around for almost a decade!
I know that many of you look down upon gaming marketers, but this niche is new/different for one very important reason:
Gamers who play Diablo 3 will be able to make money selling virtual items and currency to each other within the game.
This is sort of like the normal internet marketing niche that most people here are familiar with. Only difference with this niche is that a video game is the medium for making money, not some IM product.
There are many "guide" products already appearing on clickbank and other locations, but very few review sites are available.
If you go on google and search for things like "diablo 3 gold guide" or "diablo 3 guide review" or "diablo rmah guide" or even just "diablo guide" there really isn't much competition. I would expect that in the coming months this will change and become a much different landscape.
This is your early warning to cash in on a brand new affiliate market that's going to take IM by storm. It's also going to open up new strategies for making money by helping others to make money playing games. It seems logical that the people here would be perfect for making this adjustment.
Do you also think that this market will be large enough to sustain a small army of products and affiliates? Why or why not?
