BEWARE of Adsense themes with ads

Adsense enabled sites are supposed to have ads right?

However, before you jump in and buy a fancy theme, you will want to read this article that was recently published about a new algorithm that Google has just put in place:

Pages With Too Many Ads "Above The Fold" Now Penalized By Google's "Page Layout" Algorithm

Even though that came out in January, there are still many themes being sold and advertised as "Adsense Ready" or "Adsense Optimized" and sadly, these themes have nothing but ADS at the top.

Google will penalize these sites - so save your money.

Hope this helps you make a wiser buying decision.

Good point and yup Google are definitely hitting sites with too many ads above the fold.

The mistake most people are making is that they're using the exact same unmodified WP Adsense theme on all of their blogs and all lumped onto the same IP address - but they're not being told any different in most of these "Adsense coaching" programs.

I've seen guys lose entire sets of MFA Adsense sites in one fell swoop but it was down to them being lazy and being greedy - never investing in new resources for their hosting etc

Google is a clever fish and are now quite happy to ban entire servers and every single site on that server - it has happened folks.
