Believe me, the majority of people writing cheap, bottom of the barrel articles probably have no better grasp of the English language than you do. Do you really want to populate a website with cheap ill-written garbage? If you aren't good at English, how will you judge the worth and readability of the content you will be publishing?

I think going for the cheapest thing is a bad strategy with most things in life, web content included. Cheap, poorly written content is bad for your search engine rankings, but also bad for getting repeat visitors. No one is going to want to return to your site or buy your service if you copy/articles are full of errors and/or hard to understand!

That being said, if you're really set on getting cheap content, try a site like elance or odesk and seek out those writers who are willing to work for $1 an article. I doubt it will be good, but it will be cheap! You can also try Textbroker or Iwriter, both of which charge very low rates.

I'm not EXTREMELY good in English I said. So reading and understanding is not my problem. It just takes me longer to wirite a good article.

Self service always cheapest way to get articles but it's very hard to get fast and result oriented article that you want so for that you can hire a freelance writer at affordable rates or use software like AListPress.com which helps you create article within few minutes and easily.

      Hope this information helps you.

A lot of people have said that cheap writers are bad writers, but in my experience that isn't true at all.

I have hired several cheap writers that provided an excellent level of quality writing before. I only have experience using Elance to find writers, but I'm sure they are elsewhere to be found also.

Yes, it's true that there are cheap writers that are bad writers. But there are tons of great writers out there who do not price themselves highly, probably because 1) there isn't as much demand at a higher price, so it's harder to find work or 2) they simply don't know that some people out there will pay big bucks for their writing.

I am talking about $5-10 articles here. In one of my niches, I actually found an expert in the subject who had been teaching workshops on the exact subject for several years. And guess what? His writing was excellent and only cost less than $11 per ~500 word article, after Elance.com fees were included in the writing cost.

So to those writers out there who attack anyone who wants cheap writing: Just stop. Stop lying to folks by saying that there are no cheap, high quality writers out there. I know it is in your interests to preserve the myth that they have to pay YOU big bucks for great writing, but it just isn't true.

For every writer that bid around $50 per 500 words on my old Elance.com jobs (back when I was still hiring people), I would get bids from 4-5 writers that were just as skilled who would charge less than $10 per 500 words.

The only exception to my rebuttal here is that usually you cannot find ULTRA-cheap articles that are high quality. By this I mean finding 500 word articles for less than $5 each, because below $5 is usually the price territory of writers whom English is not their first language. In my time hiring writers at Elance, I noticed the best value of high quality vs price would be anywhere from $6-10 per 500 word articles.

I use ReTexTo, a free article spinner, because it can rewrite any article and produce professional results.

For example, ReTexTo produced the following masterpiece by rewriting Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address:

And just to kind of stay on topic, I think PLR is a great idea if you really don't have a lot of money to spend. There are several popular PLR sites that sell high quality products, and you can also find PLR as a WSO quite often.

The one that ensures you'll never make a penny online. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but article writing is not a place to look for the "cheapest." This is your website's reputation on the line and frankly, if you get junk, you look like junk. Invest in quality and it will pay you back tenfold over the long term.

Now, if you are still determined to get the "cheapest" articles, go find yourself one of those massive 15,000 article PLR packs and run it through a spinner. That's truly the cheapest content you'll ever get. It's junk, but at least you won't feel ripped off when you spend money to get similar junk.

Why buy a cheap article. You get what you pay for.

I had had very experienced writers write press releases and or articles for over $100 but those types of article normally go viral and bring in massive amounts of sales and subscribers.

LIke I said, you get what you pay for.

You can buy PLR and you already have the base of a great article, as long as you buy from a good writer.

You'll pay around $1 per article and you can simply rewrite it or even just add your own thoughts to it.

I have to agree with AmandaT. PLR is hands down the best way to buy content. It is a win win for everyone involved. You get great content to build with at the most affordable prices. It's perfect if your writing skills or English isn't great.

Remember that the content of your site is king...not the design, not the product, but the writing. Don't search for cheap ghost writing. Most PLR sites have a place where you can suggest a topic if you can quite find what you need. Many writers will take on a project when it's guaranteed to sell.

If you want articles in cheap price at the same time, ensuring the quality; it is almost impossible to get that. You have to sacrifice one for the sake of another. And it is quite simple.

From my experience the 2 best ways to save on articles is either iwriter or freelancer both of them are .com and it will require a little waiting before finding the right guy or the best article writers but the price can be around 3-5 $ for an article of 500 words. by the way i must say i don't agree with the saying here the the more you pay the better the quality sadly for me i bought articles for 10 dollars
and the truth was they weren't worth even 1.

Vatndal, try copify.com. I recently reviewed the site, and wouldn't recommend it if it didn't pass the "refund" test. Another one is textbroker.com. Note that neither recommendation remarks on the quality that you'll get from those resources. It's the refund that matters here.

The absolutely cheapest I ever found was Mechanical Turk (www.mturk.com). This is an outsourcing solution from Amazon. You can get 500 word article for $1. I ordered 5 articles as a test. Sure enough, I paid about $1 each. I could request a re-write of the ones I didn't like. But I did not request any re-writes. Because the quality was just horrible, well beyond rewriting. So, I have never found a cheaper service. Nor a more horrible one...

If you need free content you can get it from article submission sites such as ezinearticles.com -- but you will need to use the author's byline and resource box. If that isn't the only content on your site, that isn't going to hurt you any. You do want some content that is original to you as well - but if you get part of your content free, you might be able to pay more for other content.

You might want to write an introduction for any content that you get from a submission site to give the impression that your company is networked with other subject experts. That shouldn't be too difficult for you if you are writing your own posts in here.

Also consider the fact that quality will outweigh quantity with people reading, so maybe you can cut the amount of information you put up, pay a little more for what you buy so you can get better information. Eventually you can build a large base of quality information rather than immediately building a base of trash.

I'd be careful of this method, I've ran campaigns for clients in the past and seen rankings go from the top 3 for a keyword phrase to out of the top 100 spots within only a week or two's time from a single article placed on the site from an ezine site, and the article was cited properly. This does not happen with every site, but you have to ask if it's a risk you're willing to take to save a few bucks.

If you are looking for quality content for your site I'd say a 5 star writer from textbroker, you'll pay a bit more but they run it through copyscape and if you get a crap article you have a larger company to go to.

Seriously? I have never been hurt from posting an article from a submission site. Granted, I don't find that many that are any good - but when I do, I sure post it. As I said - I write an original intro to the article - but nothing lengthy. My site has always done well by them. I've always chosen only quality articles, too - stuff I was going to write about anyway and having one saved me the time.

Not sure what your people were doing to be penalized. I'd have to actually experience such a problem to comment on it.

Don't go for the cheapest, go for quality at a reasonable rate. This will save you a lot of time, money and headache in the long run.

      I'm glad you did well.

I bought a domain and ordered 6 articles on iWriter right after its launch. The articles were picked up by 6 different writers. Three articles were very mediocre and didn't closely follow the headline/theme of the article. Two were plain bad, probably spun but if they weren't then the authors clearly had a very poor grasp of the English language. The 6th was clearly spun and it was like the person didn't even bother to look at it. He/she spun things like the name of the industry trade association that should never be altered. It was complete nonsense.

I paid for the first 5 and refused to pay for the 6th one, but would never have posted them on a website without extensive editing. I never had the time or inclination to redo them so the domain is just parked for now.

I didn't expect much for $3. It was just an effort to put up some content rather than just park a domain until I did something with it, but iWriter provided the worst writers I have ever hired.
