Hi guys....

Have a few questions about Aweber as I'm thinking of moving over to it. Currently I use Maillist Controller to send emails through my host (max 15k emails a day) and was considering moving over to Amazon SES (instead of my host). But seems a lot of people recommend Aweber.

One of the reasons I'm thinking of moving over is due to my last newsletter being treated as spam. If anyone can shed any light on this I'd appreciate it: "5.5 KAM_STOCKTIP Email Contains Pump & Dump Stock Tip".

Anyways.... Aweber...

1. I looked at Campaign Monitor last year sometime and I saw that if you had a 3 out of 1000 "marked as spam" rate they closed your account. Does Aweber have anything like this? Or something similar for bounces?

2. If I have multiple lists set up in Aweber, can I stipulate which list a user is to join based on the domain they are coming from or the form they used to subscribe? This would be pretty important to me as I will have multiple subscribe forms for multiple websites.

3. They have a "blog to email" feature. Basically read your RSS and automatically email it out. Couple of questions:
3.1. Does it have to be the sites default RSS feed or can I just supply a single Wordpress category feed (I know the answer is probably that a single category would be fine but wanted to check)?
3.2 Is it smart enough not to send the same posts twice? Ie. If I have it automatically set to send emails twice a week and didn't add any new posts, would it send the same email again with all, or some of, posts that would have gone out on a previous email?

Thanks for any info.....

Hey I'll try and answer these as best I can.

    1. Aweber has a built in Spam Assassin score meter so you can see where you message is going to be prior to sending it, and it will even give you suggestions to lower your score. Anything under 5 is good to go, but to be honest my messages are usually 0 or 1.6 tops.

If they do get enough complaints obviously they'll look into it, but you'd have to be signing people up to a recipe list, and sending them dog training tips I think! LOL

    2. Yes, you'd create a separate form and install it on each domain that was different so they ended up on the appropriate list. I have several and it's easy to track within Aweber.

    3. Yes it will send out based on the feed (category or entire site) and no it won't send out duplicates if you don't update your blog.

    Hope this helps!
