Let me ask you warriors something.I have been really pushing and pushing for a decent period of time now ..Not yet to see my first sale but everyday that i dont have a sale i think that i must be that much closer to actually making a sale..I am considering stopping all my campaigns and advertising that i have right now...And Starting to really concentrate on my list until i reach a good amount of members....2 Questions # 1 . What do you think a good start # of members would be for a list to be productive ? #2 Do you Think that this is a good idea?

    Hey Robert..

Why do you have to stop the campaigns to "focus" on your list building.. If you are paying for advertising, you should already be building a list anyways, in my opinion.

You can do both, and both can be profitable for you..

There is no average # that will make a list profitable, a list of 10 will convert if you are targeting properly...

Integrate some form of list building into your current campaigns and then put in a little extra sweat to do extra work, specifically related to building your list.

    It's a win - win

    Peace

For example: I have one list with 51 people on it at the moment. I recently made a sale for $200 to one member of the list. This was with a TERRIBLY put together sales e-mail. Why? It's because I targeted my market well for the people who would buy.

Convert simply means to take action. If you want conversions for your e-mail list, you'd be getting subscribers. If you want conversions for a product, you'd be making sales.

Conversion means it is the 'Return on investment'. If you spent 100 dollars on advertisement, if your sales are $500.00, then your ad converted good. Conversion is how your investment converted to profits.

I agree with Jay, you shouldn't stop your means of traffic to "focus" on the relationship with your list.

Give them cool stuff that's full of value, your relationship with them will explode. It's actually easy to do and they'll be wanting to buy from you eventually. You might be over thinking it in all actuality.

How are you currently marketing to your list?

Send your traffic to a squeeze page and offer a One Time Offer of your product on your Thank you page. You will then have the best of both worlds.

your best bet like Richard said if to make your customers feel like they're getting what they paid for and more.

Make sure your marketing list has to do with what your selling and those people on the list were interested in a similar product - Depending how they got on your list.

the best advice I can say is keep promoting and find forums that pertain to what your product is.

Hi, a list is an essential for us marketers and concentrating on building it in the early days is time well spent. You will no doubt have seen the statistics that each name ion a targeted opt in list is worth $1 each month. Also it is ssid that once you reach a list of some 20,000 names you can write your letter of resignation re your day job.

As with many things building the list can take some time and the names will be added one at a time but once there make sure you build a rapport with them as you need to keep them with you and on your side.

At first you give more good product away than make sales but eventually your list members will be asking you if you have anything to sell to them....human nature's wonderful is it not?

A list is a list which is a valuable asset, but the best thing to do is to continue campaigning especially in such circumstances. What you to is run the list you have a try to make it grow as well as reaching out to the internet with any and every type of advertising thats in your budget.

While list building is essential to the success of your online business, you should think of automation too.

Every project that you work on should be able to grow itself after your initial setup and launch. Meanwhile, you should be growing your list on autopilot from the project/website that you have setup.

I think this is all very good advice but heres the reason i want to do away with the advertising ...I have about 4 to 5 hours a night right now of on computer...whether i want to or not ...I would like to autorespond to my prospects with quality content .In order to do that .What else ? More time of course, or on the other hand does any one know where i can buy that type of "quality content" I am talking above and beyond quality my standards are pretty high and i am willing to pay high in return.....I only want to start a list ONCE..Any referral ideas warriors?

List building is definitely the way to go! I would think the best way to would be to add some form of email list building in the campaigns you have at present and then focus all of your energies on relating to building your list with new opportunities. More numbers for you, more subscribers! Cheers!
