This is a newbie question but i want make sure about it. If you have wordpress blog and you put blog posts on it, do you summit your blog posts to articles directories like ezinearticles too?
Or do you create new articles just for ezine and keep your blog posts just to your blog? Also
when using keywords do you use them in every article on your blog?

    Hi,

Yes, definitely post everything on your own blog first!

Then, take your posts and submit them for syndication on article directories -

You always want to publish on your own site first - they are your publications of course

As for keywords in every article - I do keyword research for about 2 out of my 3 posts per week on my blog.

So, in a sense, yes, but I also find other things to blog about that aren't keyword driven.

    Hope that helps!

No, you don't need to do either. You CAN take your posts and put them on EzineArticles, but if they're high-quality and uniquely written by yourself, you don't really need to. Won't be of a big benefit, and in some cases, it may have a negative affect. You don't want to use brand new articles on EzineArticles either as they'll help your site by being on there instead. As for keywords - no - you don't need to do that. You want to have the articles at least somewhat related to your site for the most part if you're in a specific niche, but focus on content, not keywords.

I do not recommend posting your content on other areas that you have already posted to your site just because then you are causing another piece of content on the web identical to yours which will devalue your websites content.

Also if you are doing this/anyone thinking of doing this, make sure that you post the content of your article and that page on your website is INDEXED before you post content on other locations.

This is because many of the popular article sites such as ezine and articlebase are extremely popular with google and the spiders are crawling their pages all the time. This means if you post both pages extremely close to one another then the article post will more than likely be indexed first compared to your site and your site will receive negative seo value for having duplicate content.

Just as a warning for people that are doing this, it can be done but just make sure that you are doing it the right way. I do not recommend it but if you do, now you know what to do.

Write your post on your blog first then get it indexed in Google and after that submit your article to article directories

It really depends (and, I'm sorry - I know that's an annoying answer! :p) your blog posts may not "fit" well as articles. After all, blog posts are supposed to be shorter and more casual than a traditional article. They still offer awesome information, just wrapped up a little differently.

For example, I would never post my own blog posts on an article directory because their sheer length doesn't fit most of the directories' guidelines (and that's aside from some other differences in the writing style). And, some of them deal with current events and other timely issues - so they're not "evergreen" like the stuff you see on the article directories.

Remember, your goal on the article directories is to get your work syndicated (or, "re-published"). If your blog posts don't fit the mold of what syndicators are looking for, you're wasting your time by publishing them on the directories.

There's a sig for that ,

To the OP, Nicole covered it perfectly. Objectively look at your blog posts and see is they could serve as an article. It just might, as some people start blogs and just use them as platforms to post articles. Depends on what you have been doing really.

If the work is high quality there is no need to post it anywhere but your own site. Posting it elsewhere will only bring its value down.

Care to expound upon that? It seems contrarian in nature realtive to other's advice on this subject. Not trying to stir up trouble - merely curious as to your reasoning and would appreciate hearing/reading it.
