RSS Feeds - WITH Images or WITHOUT Images? - What Do You Do?

Is a feed more versatile or more SEO friendly with or without images?

If I'm submitting feeds to 50 services, is it better to use just a basic rss feed with Title, Description and link?

... or are images important?

Thanks,
Jimmy

The only problem I've seen with using images is that when your rss feed starts getting scraped by autoblogs (and it will eventually) then they will be posting your images and using your bandwidth so you will need to get hotlink protection enabled by your hosting company.

      Thanks Chase!

In a way this makes it a lot easier for me anyway- not having to build images into lots of feeds.

I would roll with the basic RSS model of Title, Description, and Link. Do it once/submit it to all the RSS directories out there, and they're in there forever.

Images are good for readers. If you hope to get actual readers for your feed, then your news will stand out in their feed reader streams.

When I browse Feeds in my iPad feed readers, I usually pay more attention to the feeds with image. Happens automatically.

No problem with using images, RSS feed serves the purpose whether images are used or not. But as mentioned above you might need to protect image using hotlinks to prevent site bandwidth.
