Ebook formatting for Kindle with Calibre

Hi,

I did what Steve explain here:
=> I save my WORD files as "Web page, filtered" files
=> I then import these into Calibre, (mentioned in another post)
=> After adjusting the Calibre settings (it's pretty intuitive and easy), I save the book in "Mobi" format
=>Use the Kindle previewer to see how the mobi file looks - make sure everything is how you want it

The problem is that there is two TOC. One at the beginning (mine) and Calibre add a second at the end.
If I delete my TOC, and put the Calibre TOc at the beginning, the book open on the TOC on the reader... I want to open with the title.
For those who are using Calibre, how do you overcome the double TOC problem?

Thanks!

You don't need the one in the beginning. The device TOC (the one in the back) is the one Kindle users like and use.

Thanks for the answer. I was very confused about it.
I just left the TOC at the end

I read that now kindle is picking up pdf as native. Is it necessary to go on exporting in mobi format?

Sandra, not sure. I would think it would have formatting issues going from PDF but haven't honestly tried it.
