Several Facebook Accounts

I would like to have a facebook account for a couple of my sites.

Is it ok to name the FB account the same as the site name?

Should I clear cookies between each one, or is just logging out ok?

Thanks Gurus

I know it says you must use your real name, but I see many companies with pages.

Facebook prefers that you have one personal account with real information.

Sure you can set up fake accounts as well-
this is handy for stealth niche research- but I digress

but why do that when you can have an unlimited number of Facebook Fanpages for your various sites associated with one personal Facebook account.

Worried about privacy settings and other people discovering your niches?
    Don't be

Simply adjust your personal account settings and no one will know that you are the page admin of the various fan pages for your websites.

    Hope this helps.

    Stay Sunny

    Michelle

This is not terribly good advice as it is against FB Terms of Service, it is a foregone conclusion thousands of marketers are doing this, but think ahead when FB decides to terminate multiple accounts.

Use the Fan pages option as suggested

        Hey Tim,

I said that you could, not that you should

        Read on my bro:

Hey Michelle sorry that was not a swipe at you, 'advice' was the wrong word I should have said idea.
Opening multiple accounts is definitely a dark-coloured hat technique and we should seek to dissuade newbies from doing it imo.

BTW what a lovely suggestion... "Stay Sunny"

Yeap , that will be great that use ur facebook name same with your site name so they know is related and easy to remember and easily for your reader to search for .

Remember that Username , you cant changed it anymore after your page get more than 100 likes and your url username cannot changed once you set it for the 1st time.

I suggest you to use your real name in creating your account but make sure to secure all your vital information. As soon as you have your personal account you can create several fan pages.

To add on about using one account with multiple pages, it's also easier to manage all in one spot.

Imagine having to log in and out of all your accounts ... how painful is that!

I agree - I have a personal account and two fanpages associated with it. Very easy to manage.

OK, My idea is to make a Facebook account for each website that is commercial that I don't have feelings for (I am not passionate about, not my hobby), that I may sell in the future.

If it is a Fan page, then I can't include the face book account as well correct?

Yes, you can make a fanpage for each website and then, when you sell it, add the new owner as administrator and he can remove you and then he will have "ownership" of the fan page.

Don't create more than 1 account though or you are just asking to get banned. You can create an unlimited number of fan pages from your 1 account.

Yes. Unless you comment on it or like it from your own wall, your friends won't know anything about it.

OK, so as long as you are careful, it is essentially the same as a new account as far as the end user is concerned, great.
