Here Is My Story - Please Read

First off I would like to say that I am new here my name is Mike and i'm glad to be a member. I have browsed these forums and many like this one before, but never took the time to register or engage in any of the conversations. After many long nights trying to teach myself different aspects of internet marketing, seo, and generally how to make money online I decided this was a great place to start.

My Goal
To make money! Isn't that everyone's goal or dream, to be able to support a lavish life style or just earn an honest living doing what they love.

Well, while this is of course the bottom line, my intentions and goals are a little different than just making the quick dollar online. Over the last 6 months or so I have became very fascinated with internet marketing, and online businesses. I have spent many sleepless nights browsing, searching, and trying to learn anything from web-design to internet marketing. From e-books, tutorials, to videos, I've seem to have went through them all. One thing i have noticed about trying to make money online is that it's a huge circle of the "gurus" trying to sell you the same watered down products.

Finally I figured out what it is I am after, and what my actual goals are. To be able to help others that are as committed and as serious as I am about learning and venturing into the online world. Offer real help, point others in the right direction to products and services that REALLY work. It would give me great satisfaction to help someone gain financial stability in doing something that they actually love doing.

The Problem
As I stated above, it seems that the world of internet marketing and the online dollar is a huge circle of "buy now products" or "Make Millions Today", sites and sales pitches. Well I'm not buying it or falling for any of the hype. I'm sure there are many ways to make a few thousand dollars if not more in a hurry, but like I said before I'm looking for more than that. I want to be able to enjoy making money, knowing that my hard work paid off.

The bottom line is I have spent the last 6 months trying everything from buying and selling domain names. Putting up websites, one of them being a tablet pc forum which i cant even seem to get much traffic let alone get members to register. So here I am, back at square one. Don't worry failing doesn't bother me, by failing I just learn from my mistakes and move on. Which is why I am here and also brings me to my next segment of this long rambling post of mine.

Why I Am Here
What does this have to do with any of members here? Why couldn't I just browse the forums and ask specific questions to my problems? Well your right I could have done that and also intend to.

What I am looking for is a mentor someone that is very experienced in the world of internet marketing, seo, and the online dollar. Of course this is probably asking a lot for someone to take many hours out of there already busy schedule to teach a total stranger there secrets and trades. So why do this right? Well I can assure you that I'm not looking for the quick buck, I know the reality that it takes a lot of time and hard work to accomplish anything worth accomplishing. Think of it as paying it forward, help me to help others. If that's not enough of course there is always the benefit of it helping you also. Once I possess the skills to become a great internet marketer then of course I will want to put my new skills to the test. Right? Since I am new to all of this I don't have any products to sell or market, so I guess a great place to start would be to help market the person who takes me under there wing. I see it as a win win situation for everybody involved.

What I'm NOT looking for
I am NOT looking for someone to try to sell me the get rich quick method, or anybody looking at this thinking "here is a another customer".



I am looking to truly learn from the beginning and become knowledgeable enough to one day help others so they don't have to go through the same daunting tasks and circles I have been going through.

Sorry for the extra long post and boring read. I look forward to everyone's input and help.
