Theme on WP

I will be using WP for building my site with hosting services from hostgator. What are the options available for sources where-from I can choose theme for my website. I want to opt for a theme from a source with whom I have no bindings or constraints later on. I should be able to modify/change layout/design of my website or add/delete any thing on my own with a free hand.

    WordPress comes standard with over 1000 free themes. I've gone through a ton of them and now I tend to stick with the basic theme (2011) as it's very flexible. I do own the HeatMap Theme, which is also really cool, but I paid for it...maybe $60 or so I think. Just go through the free ones on Wordpress.org so you can see them, then go through your admin menu inside of WP to install them. Takes 10 seconds to install one.
