Fear Of Failure? What? Who Cares and Get Over It!

I hear about this fear of failure. As Homer J. Simpson says, action is the first step towards failure, but I've never gotten how someone is afraid of failing at internet marketing.

I mean, are you afraid of being vulnerable is you create a product? Are you afraid of the boogeyman coming to your home is you create a subpar niche blog? Are you afraid of wasting money?

C'mon, this is about a light weight as an entrepreneurial venture will ever be, speaking of internet marketing. If you do some researching regarding financing of offline ventures, you'll see that spending a thousand dollars in child's play. For them, they're spending a lifetime of money at something at which they have no clue if it will work. For us, maybe it's a week's worth of disposable income. And if that doesn't work (legitimately, not bright, new, shiny object), move on to something else.

Vulnerable? Well, maybe for a minute or two. Once you hear some feedback you'll become confident regardless of what is said. You're not going to make any money with your PDF sitting on your hard drive, nevertheless.

Is your blog perfect? Probably not, but it's not like it's going to be #1 on Google the minute you launch it. You'll have plenty of time to tweak it while learning about SEO and working on its content.

I don't even view "failures" as failures. I view them as falsifiable projects. If I know why something failed, I can improve upon it and do it again better the next time. Try something new if what you did previously didn't work well. That way you can narrow down your shortcomings. I like to take it scientifically. You have a problem if you can't figure out why you failed, not that you did fail.

The only failures in my book are people who don't try. I give more credit to people who are not that talented, but work their real end off, versus talented people who waste their natural talents.
