How to register for a brand name ?

Hi warriors, I am planning to come out with some physical products of
my own, actually communication products with their own brand.
Anyone here know how can I register for a brand name? Where should I
go or what are the steps to follow? I am actually in canada, should I
register it for both canadian and US too ? Where to go to register
for both? What are the cost ? How to long is the process ?

Any advice or suggestion will be appreciated.

    You really, really need to talk to an attorney specializing in trademarks for that.

    There are so many intricacies that you really don't want to try to do it yourself.
