Consumer products, info products, service products
Hi,
To promote products as an affiliate I have this question;
Does I need to promote consumer products like amazon other traffic source than when I promote info or service products ?
(membership, club or so-not porn adult)
Is there any difference in these traffic source?
(we leave aside social traffic )
Does users who come from an ezine/magazine or an similiar niche forum not interested in the consumer products (amazon) I promote, they only want info or service products- or vice versa?
A few people told me that traffic who comes from an magazine I have written an article on it, or come from an similiar niche forum don't interested in my product review site (fitness), to buy fitness home gym products from amazon?
I find this unlogical, and be little confused about the answer from these people who say:
"For consumer products you need other traffic sources only seo organic traffic, not magazines or forum, not any web2.0 sites".
"For info products you need other traffic sources".
"For service products you need other traffic".
"Nobody sell or promote consumer products on squidoo" (????) Squidoo is full of consumer products or high ticket item products or not?
"Don't mix traffic for consumer products when you are promote info products,or vice versa".(I think a website affiliate website must have different traffic sources)??
"User from an magazine don't click on your link at the end of your article to go to your affiliate money/ review site" (????)

Can anyone here explain me that, or are this answers not worth to think about it? (I hope).
I personally will build links and traffic on my own money site from forum marketing, article syndication (magazine), yousaytoo and zemanta for ech of my niche.
My affiliate niches are :
1 niche ist fitness products from amazon
2 niche is dating (info and service products like: coaching courses, dvd, ebooks)
3 garden (garden products from amazon)
I think not that ther is any difference in this traffic sources I will build up for this different product niches.
What do you think about?
