Advantages/Disadvantages of OFFSHORE HOSTING ???

Do you know anything about offshore hosting? If YES then could you tell me its benefits or any disadvantages,etc...

    If it's offshore from its intended customers, that might not be too clever, according to Google: server location is one of the determinants of ranking ...

    But....whenever I get asked about hosting offshore it's usually by someone getting ready to do something really stupid. Like setup a bulk email campaign for example.

    Many 'spammers' take their operations offshore as many of these offshore (non US based companies) are impervious (and oblivious) to the laws governing some types of internet activity in the US. It basically takes you longer to get shutdown if you use these offshore services.

    Hoping and praying that you're not a spammer. If you are, please don't send me any more emails from "The Scooter Store". There's no way I'm ready for a motorized wheelchair just yet.

    I think advantage is for Location, great price & customer support from some outstanding company, disadvantages also may vary for server hosting location & your location difference. There is also some reason that's may for for you OR against you. You have to consider what is best for you. I personally like Offshore & with offshore seo vps for a year. That's easy & great for me.
