    People have been saying this for a long time but when newbies come along and see people offering to make search rankings a push button task they don't want to believe that it will come back to bite them.

    The biggest problem with these latest developments is the poor suckers who paid people for links that used paid networks like this - they won't have accounts themselves or necessarily even know this system was used - they'll just have had their site slapped by Google and not know why or be able to do anything about it.

    This is why so many people here keep saying be careful if you pay for links/serps - Google is on the hunt and they can see a lot more about your links that most people realise.

    Google's webmaster tools and analytics will show you a lot more about your site/links than the IM tools most people use.
