everything is so shiny shiny, its so distracting

hi guys,
just like to say how much i enjoy it here with the warriors, but i am wondering whether i should have joined, i really do feel like a fat kid in a sweet shop. i am having a bit of trouble focusing purely because there is so much on offer and to try that i want it all now!!!
i hurriedly purchased a few domains without proper research, doh !
and purchased a few reports that tended to say the same thing over and over again or were just overly long sales letters.
i bought Traffic Travis (which i do like)
i bought a wordpress theme geared up for adsense
and still i am no further along the road of being a multi gazillionaire.
i dont know what direction i am going to head in, be it adsense, amazon or any other of the wonderful systems everyone else is using. so before i throw anymore cash into the wind i have decided to join the Chris farrell membership and see if that will give me a sense of direction and stop me getting distracted by all the shiny shiny

    Don't worry.Just start developing the website, post good quality content and work to get traffic to the site. Making money online requires lots of patience. You don't know exactly which point you'll start making real money. Work hard and be patient is all I can recommend you.

    It can be a bit like that in the WSO section and it is an exciting place to be because there are so many options available to us all.

    Chances are you won't be able to do them all - so as the post says above - focus on what you want and what you enjoy doing - and then keep doing it.

    Keep your head down and work hard, don't get distracted and you will do ok in the area you chose to follow.

      Pick a couple of business plans you like and study them. Pick the one you can see yourself really enjoying and focus on it for a year. Yes, a year.

      Put everything else aside. If you find something "shiny" that sounds fun, start a file of things you want to try when your other business plan is off the ground.

      You will never get anywhere until you put all your focus and effort on one business plan and consistently follow it for a long period of time. I know because I flopped around for a few years. I could be sooo much further if I hadn't done that! :rolleyes:

    You're going to burn yourself out really quick. Rather than sample dozens (you're on the road to hundreds, actually) of various plans why not sit down and figure out what you want to do and then seek knowledge around that? I know, it's more fun to run wild and waste money. Live and learn. Good luck.

    The Warrior Forum can be overwhelming, that's for sure. There's so much information, not to mention all those Warrior Special Offers to look at!

    I agree with the others who said to pick a few things to focus on. Since you already have a few domains, why don't you do some keyword research and write some content for your pages? You can start getting some traffic and then work on monetizing through advertising and product sales.

    But definitely do SOMETHING. While it can be tempting to spend hours going through the forum, you're not going to make any money unless you take some kind of action.

    Also, I joined the Chris Farrell Membership a few months ago and I like it a lot. It's great if you're new to the wide world of Internet marketing, especially if you don't know anything about creating a website.

    Oh man. I felt really sad when I saw the thread and the post. It's like the siren song of IM failure. Don't rush into anything. Don't think of tactics for making money... get a strategy and stick with it!

    You're definitely not alone. I wasted money on traffic and backlinking guides before I ever even had a website! I'm an easy sale.

    Everyone above was right about picking a strategy and focusing on it. Even if it flops, you'll learn more from that experience than most of the useless e-books on my hard drive.

    This is not a quick and easy ticket to dreamland. You will need to persist, work hard and enjoy it even through the low and no money making phases. Test stuff out. Make mistakes and learn from them.
    Find 1 thing and master it. Ignore the noise of the marketplace as it will suck you in and empty your paypal account as you veer from programme to programme. If you are in a membership programme, just follow through with it step by step. They all make money if you work at them and put in the action.
