Generic conversion number?

Is there a generic conversion rate people use for keyword conversion? Like, if a keyword has 12,000 searches, you can get at least xx percent if you're on page 1 or 2 to go to your site, then xx people to buy something. I want to go to a business and tell tbem they can get roughly xx more people in the door based on the keywords I use for their site. Thanks!

There is no generic conversion number per say. And if you do go to a business with a claim then they will expect you to back it up with results later on. So think a lot before you tell them anything.

Eeeek, that's a bad pitch. You better be an SEO expert before promising conversions off of traffic because every keyword is different. Trust me.

I know when I was using Samuari they had some type of figure for visits for being the top ranked for a keyword. But I think google stopped them from using there data

But there is never a guarantee and believe specific numbers are bad unless you can are for sure you can provide those numbers

I would agree with the others on this. There is no way you can make any claims, as only time and a lot of work with get the results.

And results are always different in each niche.
