Offilne Gold Really Works!!

Hi,

I have been reading the offline posts and taking in alot of information from the posts. I built my website for my offline business coming upto a month ago now - and with a little online promotion and a few cold calls that started today I have brought in £900 in sales with less than £30 expenses for those sales!!

Serious Profit, Got a busy day ahead tomorrow completing a website then Im going to be going for it on a large scale for the rest of the week.

Thanks Jamie AKA GoGetta for your support over the weekend, you have just proved to me that this is the way forward!

I will be making a blog of my own to keep anyone whos intrested updated and to share what works for me with you!

Thanks Offline Warriors!!

    Hey Peter,

Wow, that is very encouraging news

It was only recently that things clicked in my mind that even mediocre knowledge of internet marketing is pure gold to offline businesses

    Nice work, keep it up!

Doing business offline can be very lucrative and extremely profitable.

You'd be surprised at how many people (offline business owners) don't know nearly as much as us Warriors do about internet marketing. And they are willing to pay big bucks to get in on the action!

          Congrats

Care to share exactly what you sold?

          Scott

I sold two websites to one man and one to another - explained the benefits of SEO and that basically sold them.

Get the one I sold yesterday built today, then get back on the sales!

This is an amazing business to be in, I used to work 60 hours a week on the road driving lorries for a little over what I got for building one website in a morning!

Thanks again Jamie, you gave me the confidence and belief in myself that I really can offer value to small businesses!

          Yesterdays work was:

Place 10 classified ads on freeads websites
Cold call 40 businesses that have not got websites:

          The results:

1 enquiry and sale from the classifieds
24 messages left on answer machines
          Spoke to 16 business owners,
          out of the 16,

          1 that is very intrested
2 that are Intrested and would like time to think
13 - Not intrested - never mind theres plenty more!

          Ill keep you updated!

            That is really cool.

I can't tell you how thrilled I was when I realized I was making more in 3 days than I used to make working for a full month.

Better still many people on the Warrior Forum already have the skills to sell to local brick and mortar businesses.

Many may even already know business owners who need their help.

I've been registering my domain name for my company, was amazed it wasn't registered! Am in the middle of getting a business account set up for free. Did a tour today of businesses in my area and noted down all the names etc they had, used my mobile phone for this so they didn't get suspicous. Got back home and was amazed again at the high number of businesses that don't have a website, and of those that do, only two had newsletter sign up forms, no autoresponders at all. And anotherjust had a holding page, one other had let its domain name hosting lapse and someone else had registered the domain name. To put it bluntly I have a hell of a lot of work ahead of me, but I love it. I'm looking to mail several of these prospects this week. And as I'm not going to be charging recessionbusting prices I'm sure I'll make more than my old job.

I'm really pumped about this whole thing. Will not hijack this thread, but will let those who want to know what happens end of next week.

Kepping the momentum going today, Upsold an extra 5 pages of website design to one customer already - so its now 10pm on monday and I have made more profit in 1 day than I would have made in one week in my old J.O.B!

The phone rang with one new lead calling me from my advertising and im all set for a couple of busy days ahead to get the work completed and the money in the bank!

So wont be contacting any business owners until Thursday maybe Friday.

Peter, that's exactly what most people do and it's a big mistake - it's much harder to prospect when you have no work to do. My advice - make a few prospecting calls a day - every day.

        cheers

That is where things get tricky! You have to build do the work of the business and continue to market your services. Taking that many days off from contacting business owners could make you a little rusty once you start again.

I would try to do some form of marketing at least for thirty minutes to an hour each day, so you dont get rusty and so business doesnt dry up.

    Peter,

That's great news bud! It's all about taking action. I used to be in restaurant management before I went full time online (err, offline?) income and what I made in a month, I easily make in less than a week now.

You've got the right mindset - now go scale, outsource, and keep talking with business owners. You know you have us if you need any help or guidance whatsoever.

Yes I am in agreement. You need to keep the momentum up! 2 reasons!

    1. You can get rusty pretty quickly if left!

    2. You are in the zone! Right now you are in the zone. You ahve made sales, your beliefe and confidence is sky high so use it to your advantage and keep "truckin" hehe!

When your working the offline niche, you've got to realize it's not something you do 1 time and get paid for. It takes CONSISTEN action. No matter HOW you open the door, keep doing it. 20 letters a day, 50 phone calls a day, 150 emails a day. Just be consisten.

Your filling your funnel with potential clients. They might not be interested today - but tomorrow?

The best time to talk to business owners is immediately after you've been hired by one.

Your confidence is up and you don't feel like you need the business so much (you just got a job after all).

That mindset will make it a whole lot easier to get hired.

This is before they have even had any traffic to the site!

Yeah i sat on the fence for a long time before taking the plunge - even when cold calling people are pleased to hear from you. They get calls offering website design but "Internet Marketing For Small Business" few get those calls and those exact words are what seem to get them intrested for me.

    Congrats on the work Peter!

Making money on your own is such a good feeling. I don't have a single friend that doesn't work for someone else, and every time I see them all I hear is "Dude, how do you make your money?? I wish I could just do whatever I want when I want like you do!"

I love it, and getting the first few clients signed up and then out of the way is the hardest part... It's all downhill from there.

And like you said, all these business owners get website offers every day... You have to stray as far from "web design guy" as possible. I go straight to the benefits and potential of marketing their business online, and then the subject of "Of course, a website will be needed for this..." naturally comes along.

I love this stuff. I can't wait to start outsourcing so I can take more naps and spend more time blowing my money.

    lol

While it is great to keep your old friends and you should certainly do that you might want to seriously consider making some new friends who have their own businesses.

Associating with other business people is important to maintaining a healthy mindset.

Thinking like an employee is like poison to the business owner.

Andrew, I know exactly what you mean!

A good friend of mine (another IM'er from the opposite coast) once told me "Your income is the average median for the 10 people you are closest to."

I thought about that for quite some time and realized, it is completely true.

And I'm working on it, I've just NEVER had smart or successful friends, so getting used to people that may be a little more timid than myself takes a little getting used to.

firstly, great work Peter. I just recently got introduced to Offline Gold. Purchased David and Andrew Cavanaugh's products. It got me to realize just how much I already knew and left all that untapped potential just lying around for the last 5 years...

Anyways...The same day after reading the ebooks end to end I picked up the phone called a bud of mine and said "hey, your planning that new company in Commerical Real Esatate right?" he said, "Yes" I said" How do you plan on attracting new Investor leads?" he said "I dunno".

I then went into explaining how I could help him with SEO and List building - he was sold. $1500 in the bank - kaching!

Peter, I've been reading all your words on "being overwhelmed that you can't prospect 'cos you have to deliver". I'm suprised no one mentioned outsourcing the work to a struggling webdesigner?

If you are doing template based work such as wordpress you should be able to get this done for about 100pounds or less.

You obviously seem really good at prospecting and I think you should maintain that focus and be more of a project manager.

Good luck. looking forward to your next update and sale!

          lol

Years ago when I was working as a sports coach I had someone who pointed out to me that I had really unusual friends.

They were either radical alternative lifestyle followers or millionaires.

At one time many, many years ago in between businesses when I was unemployed a millionaire friend of mine who would drop by regularly was fond of saying "you're the hardest working guy on the dole I've ever met" (I was always working my arse off).

It does pay to be around people who are successful in the areas you want to be successful in.

Also wealthy business people...even though some can be arseholes...are far more interesting to be around than most employees.

It's not necessarily any specialized knowledge either.

Certain attitudes towards money, work and business will rub off on you.

One of the biggest things you'll pick up is the simple belief that you can make a lot of money...for many people that's the last push they really need to do it.
