Unanswered Email from Years Ago

Have you ever looked back to check on email you didn't answer years ago? Ever found any money in it?

I found one just now where a person was apologizing for their childish behavior because they had been diagnosed with a disease and had been stressed. I just replied 5 years later. I sure hope they are okay!

Ever since I registered my first email address back in '03 I would check daily. I haven't ever left something unchecked (or trashed if it's spam) for more than 24-48 hours. I'm kind of OCD with that though.

I have some old unanswered e-mails, but they were purposely not answered at the time. However, I've received notifications 1+ years later that an incredibly important e-mail I sent out was just opened

That's pretty impressive. I just found a couple more and replied to them. If all customer requests were routed through my email, I would not sleep. We have a forum, a support ticket system and a job area. Those I spend more time on with the help of others. Especially the last 2 are more important to me than email in most cases. Still this is my "fun project" for Sunday.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Well, in my case I have never had more than three accounts at once and only in the past year actually used one for business, so managing them has been a lot easier.

Well, my experiment didn't bring all that much, but I am still finding quite a few gems in my email, just not the unanswered variety.
