Anyone know of a presentation software that does this...?

I am looking for software that will create a slideshow or video presentation with the following features:
  • user navigational controls - such as arrows that allow user to advance to next section of the presentation
  • user menu to show the current and remaining components in the module
  • Ken Burns motion (panning, zooming, etc.) when the presentation is paused
  • ability to quiz a user afterward to measure what was learned
  • ability to score and rank users based on quiz responses

I was looking at Photodex ProShow Gold. Articulate looks great but is much more than I can afford to pay at the moment. I already have PowerPoint 2010 and Camtasia - just haven't started using them yet.

The videos will be short screencasts (from just around 3 minutes to a max. of 10 minutes each) that present lesson/tutorial content.

Appreciate any advice.

I am not sure about all of the features...but I know Camtasia has a lot of them.

I imagine a software with all those features, would be pretty pricey, such as the one your found. Try Camtasia, since you already have it. I really like it, and you might find it does pretty much what you want.

I think Camtasia will do what you need. I also use Captivate which is kind of pricey but will do all of the tasks you listed.

The only other option may be to check out Adobe Presenter which works with PowerPoint as an add-on. I don't think it will zoom or pan but it does have the navigational abilities you seek and has a quiz maker to test your viewers. It is also SCORM compliant so you can track your students scores in your learning management system (LMS), if applicable.
