Multiple Domains or Single Domain With More Articles

So I am targeting a Niche that has several long tail keywords which could each have their own niche site. I was thinking about putting together one website and targeting all of the keywords in different articles, but I also noticed some decent domains are available for those keywords.

So I was thinking of creating seperate sites for each and linking to each other.. any pros and cons, one way or the other?

    One domain

    It will be more cost effective and possibly easier to rank.

    Since you'll have more pages you'll be seen as more of an authority which gives you a chance at having higher conversions.

    Plus it will be easier to work on a single site and you'll be able to polish it and just make it overall better that way.

    One domain has it's merit, but I've seen some good things happen where I'm getting multiple positions ranking for the same term off different domains. It probably depends on how aggressively you're going after the term. I have some terms that are very profitable for me because of the way I can monetize them that not everyone has access to. In light of that, I'm willing to dig in a little harder than some folks might be, especially if I can own 80% of the first two pages of google.
